This isn't a tsunami, a tsunami is not very noticeable in deep waters, it is only when it hits the shallows when it is forced up and becomes prominent and dangerous.

He didn't feel anything but seeing there was such big ball in the bottom of the sea, moving toward shore. When he got back to the island, he just realized that everything was messy.

It was at the Billabong XXL contest at Pe'ahi(also known as Jaws)Maui, Hawaii. It's about a 63'-65' wave, and though he took the biggest wave of the day he did not win the contest.

It's just a wave. The ocean floor off the north coast of Hawaii in that location takes regular waves and amplifies their size because of the floor contours. That's why big wave surfers love to hang out there.

Its not a fake but its also not a Tsunami. The wave for a Tsunami only occurs in shallow water, this is quite clearly in deep water. There are people who track down waves like this to surf them, they are usually rouge waves or storm surges. These guys are mental though.
