Spoken like non grapplers who hav no understanding of the rubber guard. GSP was sliding out of Penn's half guard and high guard with no effort at all. OF COURSE the outcome "could've" been different. There's a reason why they chose to grease certain parts of GSP's back and shoulders specifically. My ruling: GSP wins, Split the purse 50/50, fine GSP's corner 15%. Sherk beat GSP....Penn beat sherk...The outcome could've been different.

An american lost the fight straight up and he's pissed off. You ever notice that when a yank is on his back getting his ass beat the ref will let it go on for some time before he stops the fight? Someone from another country is on his back (with the yank on top) and in less than a minute the ref stops the fight and the yank is the winner. FFS. greasing is referred to applying grease to anywhere other than the face which is i think is an important rule not to be broken. This was nothing more than a simple accident . they even wiped GSP down after every round . vaseline can be applied to fighter's backs by other means , such as : gloves hit face , fight goes to ground , vaselined gloves touch back . it's that simple ! What I see in every clip is GSPs corner either taking vasline from the jar or from the back of his hand to apply it on GSP cheeks, eyebrows, & nose. After that I never see GSPs corner man who was applying the vasaline going back to the vasaline jar or backhand to get more vasaline to put on his shoulders, back & chest. Could there be some left on his hand after applying it to the face of GSP sure but not a great amount to influence the fight. BJ & Hughes are great examples of sore losers

Great video guys. We can never be 100% sure but I highly doubt GSP would have anything to do with the grease being rubbed on him. In terms of punishment. I definitely think the guy who rubbed it on him should be fined or sacked because whether he meant it or not, he should have known better.

He's signed a 3 movie deal with some film studio (after he finished filming Tekken). It may not be permanent but for know, you won't see him fighting. That is unless UFC holds him to the last fight he still has on his contract.

If he was greased it doesn't matter if he put it on himself or not, you are responsible for what ever goes on or in your body at all times. He shouldn't be punished this time, but there should be clear rules layed out so if it happens again then the person/s to blame are clear-cut and no argument can be made about it.

There should be a quick, smart investigation performed by an impartial party to determine who's head goes on the chopping block because someone needs to be made an example of to prevent it(or at least discourage it) from happening over and over again.
