I think the real reason some are upset about these vids is the context. FASTEST would imply a high top speed, like 200+ MPH for an extended period of time. These cars are actually the QUICKEST, meaning they have a high rate of acceleration.

99% of drag cars can't drive a road trip so it's not meant to be personal. i did look at your videos and frankly it doesn't strike me as a car that could do that. and please stop with the racers comment. i grew up in memphis. my dad was a racer, it's all we were around. if you know anything about the sport you know how serious the guys from there are. most racers don't worry about building a car that is also streetable. but it's becoming a big deal.

Many cars couldn't make it 50 miles. Show me a Supra that can run 8.5 on PUMP gas. BTW, Yes Americans name engines by the cubic inches,makes sense huh? WTF does 2jz mean?? Do some research about the title "The fastest street car in the world"....It's a race held by Hot Rod Magazine and the cars have to drive 100s of miles from track to track and compete for the best average time....It separates the so called "STREET" cars from the race cars. It can handle corners just fine while "driving" on the street, it's not a sportscar that you race around a course, it's a mega HP street legal drag car that you can drive on the street.

I don't mind seeing street cars arriving on a trailer. Why would I want to drive my duster 200 miles to the race track on race seats and no A/C? How would my tools get there? What if I snap an axle? I find a street legal car to be one that is licensed, insured, has mufflers, lights, signals, more than one seat, and DOT tires. Swapping to slicks once in awhile is fine by me. I don't see anyone out there driving a 7 sec car to work in the snow. That would be about as real as street can get.

99% of drag cars can't drive a road trip so it's not meant to be personal. i did look at your videos and frankly it doesn't strike me as a car that could do that. and please stop with the racers comment. i grew up in memphis. my dad was a racer, it's all we were around. if you know anything about the sport you know how serious the guys from there are. most racers don't worry about building a car that is also streetable. but it's becoming a big deal.

HotRod Mag street car races put so called "street cars" to the test...This car drove(not trailered) over 1000 miles to 4 different tracks on PUMP GAS and DOT tires...It had to compete with a bunch of so called "street cars" by making the drive to each track and race. It can handle corners just fine while "driving" on the street, it's not a sportscar that you race around a course, it's a mega HP street legal drag car that you can drive on the street.

Anyone interested. Do a search on here. Corvette ZR1 nurburging. Then tell me american cars can't go round corners. Its also a great piece of driving. The red victor and Duster have proved thay are probably two of the quickest ROAD LEGAL cars in the world over 1/4 mile. Both builders and drivers deserve some credit.

what cars that then. i didnt think yanks knew what a 4 cylinder was, im not attacking them i just think chrome wheeels look stupid and the side pipes on the new viper sets fire to the side skirt when it gets to hot, also whats the point of having such a big engine with so little power, they should downsize to a 6 liter v8, that way they will still get 500hp and also save weight, :)

It's a mechanical fact that you can't drive a car with that much hp everyday and keep parts in it. I'm not saying it can't be driven all the time, but he would have to replace shit every few months. Why would you want to do that? We are the kings of the strait line, so you can keep that other stuff. Seems to me a lot of awesome supercars have come from America though. The Viper (which everyone is jealous of), the Vette, Cobra (which Shelby made great), and many more.

I don't mind seeing street cars arriving on a trailer. Why would I want to drive my duster 200 miles to the race track on race seats and no A/C? How would my tools get there? What if I snap an axle? I find a street legal car to be one that is licensed, insured, has mufflers, lights, signals, more than one seat, and DOT tires. Swapping to slicks once in awhile is fine by me. I don't see anyone out there driving a 7 sec car to work in the snow. That would be about as real as street can get.

Since it seems you can't shut your pie hole, let me tell you something.. Andy Frost's Victor is built out of 90% AMERICAN parts, it was even a GM built vehicle.. Andy DOES NOT drive that car on the street very often, so you need to check your facts.. Yes Andy is fast, plenty of other fast cars in a straight line, but Andy's car would NOT be doing what its doing w/o many AMERICAN parts, just ask him!
