Badass vid, my only suggestion would be to sync up the hits in the soundtrack with a clip if say like a hard climb or something, so the big ques in the music go along with a jet doing something crazy.
Thanks! Im not a pro, just doing the vids for fun.I dont have the energy or knowledge to make my vids any better then this. If someone wants to make a better version of this vid, go right ahead. =)
Good luck and i hope you´ll make it. Remember thou, the Air Force have lots of other jobs to offer in case the pilot dreams dont work out. So one can still be a part of it, and feel just as much pride of ones accomplishments. :)
Thanks! The quality is nothing i can do anything about. Many of the original clips i used were pretty bad to start with. Also, this video is 4 years old now. :)
That was kick ass! Outstanding video of the month!!! Thanks for throwing the F-111 in there. They're gone now, but they never get enough credit. Thanks, man.
Thank you for taking a peek at my vid. I think its a shame to see all these old jets being replaced, like the F111. All the new high tech ones lack personality. Ok, i can understand it from pilots pov, they want anything that will give them an advantage in combat.. For us who grew up during the cold war era are probably to blame for this new type of gen aircraft.. LOL! ;)
Thank you, and returning the salute. Verry nice to notice that there still is the good old fashioned respect between nations air forces. The last of the real and true gentlemen. :)
My honest apologies, my lady. When i wrote the reply, i had not yet visited your channel and its mostly men who leave comments on vids like this. So i just took it for granted. LOL! @37Viggen no apology needed but accepted nonetheless & i appreciate u coming by my channel. People tend to think that the air force is only about pilots and jets. The reality is thou that they would not even get off the ground without the "rest" of the team, so to speak. Well, you know this much better then i do, based on your history. I did my service for my country in the Swedish Air Force. My job was not considered glamorous as well. But without my team, an airbase and its surrounding would not be safe from the "enemy" (Always those darn Russians). ;)
@37Viggen another Cold War Kid I see ;) indeed the USSR were certainly Persistent Pests LOL.. I agree, most civilians think only Flyboys/girls & Aircraft & r unaware just how broad & all-encompassing AIR SUPPORT truly is. Thank you for your Service & Sacrifice in the name of Freedom, my Brother-in-Arms, I have enjoyed our interesting conversation & would like to stay in touch. Y'all take care now, STAY SAFE & STRONG. ~~~Our Eyes on the Skies & Our Arms are as Wings~~~
@floridashorti Born in the early 70´s, so i got to taste the last part of the cold war. I clearly remember how one could feel the atmosphere change around you physically when going behind the iron curtain. Even as a young teen i understood change and was mesmerized by how different one country could be. When going from west to east Berlin by train was probably one of the most tense/thrilling moments. However, which young boy did not want to feel like 007 on a secret mission! ;)
Opps!!! That could get one in some trouble if i went to Schweiz. LOL! ;) That was actually nice and interesting of you to share. Also thanks, and the same to you buddy! To all aviation fans out there: The SAAB JA37 is a Viggen awesome aircraft. =)
Ha ha! I actually did not think about it when i did the videos. I was just looking to find tunes that suited with my emotions and view of the final result. I was considering reuploading this video with different music, but since i had so "many" views and replies, i do not have the heart to remove this old one. Thank you for taking a peek at my vids. :)
@37Viggen Well, I'm glad you didn't reupload. It's epic, and I like that.
And you're welcome. I'm quite supportive of trubutes.
and I have a question.
You know that one set of videos 'Lost Racing Legends' One, Two, and Three? One of them had Pink Floyd's 'High Hopes' on it, and I didn't know if they got deleted or not, because I forgot to save those. D:
I dont remember, but it might have contained clips from F1. Then it will be automatically banned from youtube. My F1 tribute to drivers that lost their lives got banned because of that. I know that one canadian guy uploaded the Kubica crash which he taped with his own camera on site, and it got banned because it broke the copyright issues. Bernie Eccelstone is a greedy A-hole!
My F1 tribute for all the F1 and a few Indycar-drivers that lost their lives had plenty of views and comments. Being forced to remove it was sad, because all the comments and tributes made by various people gets deleted as well. Its always more then the accidents themselves that gathers the viewers. Many of us were just kids when we saw these incidents live on tv and some on location. Sure some weirdos always show up and make idiotic comments, but those can always be deleted.
Yup, the Panavia Tornado is from Uk. Unfortunatly i did not find any clips of Russian jets preforming at low level altitude. The only ones i had was the usual MIG-29 and SU-27 crashes from the airshows, and we have all seen those a thousand times. :o)
The RAF train around my house in a remote part of Scotland like this. It's amazing to see their skill, flying so low and with such poise. My wee mum has a cup of tea each morning on the patio and waves to them and usually get the wings waggled back. :)
I really cant answer you on this one. I recently saw a documentary about two persons who wanted to become naval aviators, and succeeded.
It was called Speed & Angels. At the end of the documentary there are email addresses you can use to contact the pilots for more info about how to become a naval aviator.
ehm yeah...but the raptor doesnt come in a trainer version as far as i can remember so only a handfist of the best pilots in the AF can fly it. Coincidentaly those pilots have thousands of flying hours under their belts. Otherwise it would be just like trying to learn to drive a car in an F1 racing car.
I hope i become an Air Force pilot once. But those will probably be only empty hopes due to my poor eyesight :(
if you learn to race in a simulated enviroment doesn't mean you can do it in the real world too. But yeah, training from an early age has many pros since you lear faster in early years. But i doubt that the AF would let a 17 year old kid fly a multi-million jet on the basis of simulator training. Real knowledge comes from experience (or so i think :))
This is probably true. I've flown in a Typhoon simulator and it's very simple to fly - just point the stick where you want to go and the onboard computer does the rest. I assume the F-22 is the same. Modern fast jets are designed to be as simple as possible to fly so the pilot can concentrate on the myriad of other tasks he has on the air.
So in short, yes, a kid could probably fly the Raptor, but only the best of the best can use it to carry out its full role in operational theatre.
Sure i could of added "fake" jet noise. But since there are so many clips spliced together, i just dident wanted to hunt down every single right one for each jet.. Many of the clips where either silent or had music added already from the begining.
