This is REALLY interesting! So what made him go into the tupperware box? You mentioned the look for humidity, so what di you put on the floor of the tupperware box - and what did you use to make it humid for him! that's amazing that they just know what to do! I've always found these and iguana's really cool and lovely - i know strange!!! LOL Actually I just saw him eating his foot skin - Scrap that last part!!!! LOL

@Esau59random You should never pull the shed off of a leopard gecko, you can damage the skin underneath and it might actually hurt the gecko more than you'd help it. A gecko should be able to get all of its shed off. If it cant, you can help by putting into a plastic container like in the video and filling it with a bit of warm water. You will just want a little water, enough to dip its feet in.

@Esau59random No your are not supposed to immediately help the if a day or two after the gecko began shedding it still had dead skin on it you could help pull it off. I emphasize doing it extremely gently!

@mysteriouscupcake11 Right now my little leopard gecko is shedding but still hasn't got the head bit off as long as there is some sort of object (Branch,House ect...) They should be able to use that to get it off :)

@SupaHypo1 well the part of the head skin peeled back is the hoodie and he walked in his cave and said " Lets chillax " and a few seconds later he decided to take off the rest of his jacket and ate it storing it for next winter in his belly and they repeat the cycle over and over again :)

ummm i have geckos and they lost there toes i just barly fixed there cage so now it has a humid hide will they recover and grow there toes back and be able to shedd easy plese respond and tell me if there is any way i can make it easyer to shedd for them now!

hey presto my leopard gecko has almost finished shedding and i suppose the licking of the face proberly does mean it's going to shed although mines kind of struggling to get skin of the face I think I might try to pull it of gently myself good luck with your gecko and I hope his shedding goes alright if you need anymore questions awnserd just ask =)

Thanks very much for the informative video!! I just got a baby lepoard gecko last week and I noticed that he was turning pale/white.. so i figured he would be shedding.. i heard that its best not to try to handle them when they shed due to stress lvls... what if they need help shedding? I'm just worried about his feet and getting all the skin off... He is still alittle shy and i just dont wanna freak him out but i know i may have to help him.. any sugestions or thoughts?
