oh trust me, she drove me nuts, but she is all grown up now, and is a lump. lol. Usually when I'm cooking she is like a speed bump in the kitchen waiting for something to drop, ha ha ha.

@Redtooth45 haha "speed bump" so was my basset Abraham. He loved hanging out in the kitchen too, watching for any spilled food. Every once in a blue moon, he'd get leftovers. Mom called him "my little trash compactor".

This is why I have never adopted a basset puppy. I try to adopt them when they are over 3 years of age. I am not patient enough to train a puppy.

@Redtooth45 Your dog barks. My adult basset does not. That was my point. I wasn't criticizing your methods. I was just stating that I don't have the patience to raise a basset hound from a puppy. I don't want to deal with the housebreaking, howling, barking, chewing etc.. Most basset puppies will do all of the above. I just do not have the patience to deal with that.
