It's the camera. I've got a good (2.4ghz) Sony Vaio computer + a "PC-Pen-Cam" I got from some "1 month free trial offer" website. It does it too. They sell for $9 to $19 on ebay: look for Item #: 140064053052

It shoots 5 frames per second but you really need 20 - 30 FPS for smooth video.
