I am from the UAE, these cars are modified using the stock engine block (1FZ-FE) (4.5 liter) with rebuilt internals like polished and ported heads, high compression pistons, titanium valves and springs, camshafts, strengthened cranks and conrods, as well as computer chipping and remapping like motec systems, and hks piggy backs, some are turbo charged or even supercharged, some have V8 conversions, all this can be done for around $7-15K
Some of these guys spend in the 10's to hundreds of thousands of dollars on these cars. usually well upwards of 1000bhp. i guess that's what happens when you are rich and bored.
@SSSavage25 i agree on the gearheads part. but being rich definitely helps. most of these vehicles were turbocharged though. i could hear the whine and wastegate noises on most of those, and the rate of increase of the rpm was in a typical turbo curve. stillpretty impressive vehicles though, regardless. :-)

Not these cars. Majority of them are not even turbocharged. and it has nothing to do with being rich, gearheads are gearheads.

@pheargoth
true but it just happens that this video has a lot of turbocharged ones. The majority consist of bolts ons (headers, intake, exhaust) and a tune.
