u do know if your an organ droner and u are in a really bad accident they will try to fix u but if your heart stops they will try less times to revive u, because if they take your fresh organs and put them into lets say 4 people thats in there books saving 4 lives, 1 loss for 4 lives is good dont get me wrong, but u will still die.... its a crew world.

I donated the organs of my 5yo son. I will ever regret what I did as well as most who were induced to "donate".

Before signing any "donation" please ask for a full information of what they will do to your son. You will be so scared that you will certainly give a negative answer to their hunt for organs.

well, in Russia u dont have to do anything to become an organ donor...

u are one untill you make a public statement in writing, that you dont want to donate your organs... oh, and you need a lawer to make it legit...

In Austria everybody is an organ donor...if you don´t want to be one you have to fill out an official disagreement...I think that´s better then the other way around.

Anyway I´m 17 now and I´ve always told my parents that when I happen to be brain dead they should allow the doctores to "re-use" as mutch body parts as the can. And on the next possible day after my 18th birthday (which is unfortunately a sunday) I´m starting to donate my blood (allowed in Austria with the 18th birthday) :)

I just wanted to say that I´m going to donate blood as soon as I´m allowed to (my 18th birthday), because less and less people do that and the blood is running really short at the blood banks.

And yes, in Austria you are a donator (for all organs) unless you officially refuse (it´s like BEEING a donator in America). Parents have to deside for their kids of course. :)

Personally, I'm not an organ donor. I just find the thought of having a part of me in someone else after I'm dead a bit disturbing.

OMG this reminded me of an exhibition called Body Works. People donate their ENTIRE body and they dry it up in an artisy-educational-omg-that's-­a-corps manner. Serious grosseness.

Like there were several rooms full of dried dead people. Makes people who donate only one organ look like pussies.

Organ donation is indeed a very good thing. But I understand some ppl who dont want te be a donor. For instant my friend. Her religion doesnt approve it, so I understand why she doesnt want to be a donor.
