  • This 1983 dance record was a big spin at the rink I skated at back then, everybody liked this one. I remember droves of people scampering to get to the rink floor to skate to this one, when the DJ put it on the turntable, fond memories of fun times, this is certainly quality 80's dance music, without a doubt...

  • What about SHINEHEAD'S version????

    That was good too.

  • I'm trying to find that single that's downloadable to put into mp3

  • I haven't heard this since 8th grade!!! thanks!!!

  • I have never heard this mash before. Well done!! I am sharing this with everyone I know.

  • it's great compsition, i've been looking for this version so long. thnx....

  • good work..

  • I actually have the original vinyl of this song.

  • This is actually my Father singing! He had an amazing voice and was extremely talented! He also had another group called Delight. He passed away on 9-23-10! It's nice to see people still listening to his stuff and saying good things! Thank you!

  • @Blondebomshell001 A musician's work can live on and on... creativity is something we should all learn to appreciate,

I'm sorry for your loss.. hope you continue to celebrate his life. Maybe you can post more of his stuff and put links to it on this page.

  • @Blondebomshell001 This was the first mash-up I ever heard back in 1985. My sincere condolences.

  • The person singing is my uncle, Victor J Faster. He died today 9-23-10 at 12:00, I searched for this song just to hear him again. Thanks to all that love this remix, if you dont remember it was number one on the charts for a couple weeks, I think in 1983.

  • is that Patrick Stewart? LOL?

  • Cool i use to have this when i was in back in Brazil many moons ago.

  • Brian McKnight sang this song today on his moring show.

  • I was ignorant to the Steely Dan song sampled in this until my wife played it to me - as soon as I heard it I said 'ah, this was used in a song that combined it with Billie Jean'.

  • I remember back in the day thinking WOW, how cool that these fit so well.

  • I heard this back when "Billie Jean" first came out. I was in a local record store and one of the employees played it for me and a friend of mine. I never knew this still existed! It is a really cool remix of both tunes, since they are in the same key and have basically the same tempo. Thanks for bringing this back!

  • This is a really cool mix!

  • What is Slingshot?

    It is Steely Dan singing.

  • Slingshot was a studio band located from Detroit Michigan. Members include Jack Tann, Greg Sawton, David Van DePitte and John Lewis.

  • @Clobalize Slingshot, put this remix together, the rest is history

  • I read that one of the members is David Van DePitte - is that the same man who used to work for Motown? If so, I read he passed away couple of weeks ago on August 9 from cancer at age 67

  • i was meant to go and see michael jackson live. but he died so i went and saw steely dan instead. never even knew this existed haha

  • cool... I always compared these two great songs...who borrowed from who?

  • It'd have to be MJ right? doesn't Do It Again pre-date Billie Jean? (someone please tell me)

  • yeah. do it again was about 76.

  • Do It Again was 1972 and Billie Jean was 1982.

  • Well, it's actually from about 1972-1973.

  • hay por dios! OMG esta version es mi favorita ♥ i love it

  • are we Crystal?

    Yes Sir. Crystal Clear!

Awesome, because This brings back memories of cranking this on my Sansui 9090DB with the C Vegas!

  • Ahh, memories . . .

  • Turned it off at first...turned it back on then i heard the lyrics. Clever. Love both MJ and Steely.

  • lo quiero

  • Forever...

  • I agree its one of great Mashups that I have heard.

  • VERY CLEVER,GR8 MIX

  • Love it, thanks.

  • Hey, did you get my message about the "Farewell" album, P?

  • who'd have thunk it? sounds fabulous!

  • VERY CLEVER,GR8 MIX

  • this has gotta be CLUBHOUSE is it not?????

  • Yes it is. This is Italy's CLUBHOUSE's two-song mashup re-recorded note for note here in America by Detroit-based band SLINGSHOT for America's dance floors. There is a very rare THIRD version of this mashup by NY's BROOKLYN EXPRESS as well.

  • @razorblademail THIS WAS THE FIRST MASH-UP EVER.
