I remember the DJ's actually mixing these two songs together for real on the dancefloor in the late 80's and early 90's and I was so impressed that those two songs went together so well.....One minute I think I am dancing to Billy Jean, then the next, it's Steely Dan's Do it Again. It was amazing. This sounds a little too ORGANISH...too much use of the Organ but these DJ's used both albums to get this sound. It was amazing.
This 1983 dance record was a big spin at the rink I skated at back then, everybody liked this one. I remember droves of people scampering to get to the rink floor to skate to this one, when the DJ put it on the turntable, fond memories of fun times, this is certainly quality 80's dance music, without a doubt...
This is actually my Father singing! He had an amazing voice and was extremely talented! He also had another group called Delight. He passed away on 9-23-10! It's nice to see people still listening to his stuff and saying good things! Thank you!

The person singing is my uncle, Victor J Faster. He died today 9-23-10 at 12:00, I searched for this song just to hear him again. Thanks to all that love this remix, if you dont remember it was number one on the charts for a couple weeks, I think in 1983.
I was ignorant to the Steely Dan song sampled in this until my wife played it to me - as soon as I heard it I said 'ah, this was used in a song that combined it with Billie Jean'.
I heard this back when "Billie Jean" first came out. I was in a local record store and one of the employees played it for me and a friend of mine. I never knew this still existed! It is a really cool remix of both tunes, since they are in the same key and have basically the same tempo. Thanks for bringing this back!
I read that one of the members is David Van DePitte - is that the same man who used to work for Motown? If so, I read he passed away couple of weeks ago on August 9 from cancer at age 67
Yes it is. This is Italy's CLUBHOUSE's two-song mashup re-recorded note for note here in America by Detroit-based band SLINGSHOT for America's dance floors. There is a very rare THIRD version of this mashup by NY's BROOKLYN EXPRESS as well.

@Blondebomshell001 A musician's work can live on and on... creativity is something we should all learn to appreciate,
I'm sorry for your loss.. hope you continue to celebrate his life. Maybe you can post more of his stuff and put links to it on this page.
