"Lack of vibrato" is not necessarily a bad thing. Overuse of vibrato can be just as bad. Some singers even have to overuse vibrato to disguise that they can't hold a longer note without it. Anette has a great vibrato, but she uses it very specifically, not all the time, and I like that a lot. IMO it should be a detail to use, not a basic way of singing.

The main problem with Anette seems to be consistency. Some notes sound really good, while others are terribe: Offkey, lacking vibrato, sliding, etc.

This leads me to think it's just an issue of breathe support. She'll get better in time. In the meantime though, she sounds just fine on the album, where they have complete control of what is heard through retakes, etc.

The biggest difference is that DPP is darker

In one of her earlier interviews, when she was asked about what kind of outfits she would wear on stage, what she usually does when performing in a live concert and stuff, she said that she likes to spread a lot of energy, communicate with the audience and stuff, but she won't be able to headbang too much, 'cause apparently she has some problems with her neck. Or spine, I don't remember exactly, correct me if I'm wrong. :)
