Best live band I've ever seen without question, I saw them in Bristol last year and it was the best gig I've ever been to. I've been going to gigs for about 17 years and seen all sorts of stuff, Pavement/Sonic Youth, Massive Attack with Portishead and practically all of The Battles Warp stablemates. Nothing ever prepared me for the Battles live experience. Absolutely amazing live band and anyone who says otherwise has something in their ears:-)

Is this improvised music? Coz I don't know much about them and I dont want to insult them on a first view, but all I hear is some false notes. But when this is improvisation, I think this is only for persons with talent.

Try to listen without thinking notes but sounds.Def not a band for everyone spesh if you dont listen to alot of this more freeform less traditional style of making music but they make fantastic feelings and moods in their songs.

Battles are awesome, no question.  Mirrored has to be one of 2007's most awesome albums. I mean, where else can you hear anything that mixes the experimental, the danceable and the downright catchy so freakin well?
