  • the one thing I and my friend say that is true about this movie is that Richard O'Brien is not in Rocky Horror nor is he the wrtier or song witer...Richard O'Brien IS Rocky Horror

  • I love this movie, and I don't care if you hate it. Hear that? I'm not listening. Richard O'Brien's just come to tell us how fabulous he is (again).

  • so I never even knew of this movie until my wife had told me about it last night. We were watching RHPS for like the 20000 time...lol. So is this another storyline after the effects of RHPS?

  • @darkcanas102 Pretty much in name only - my advice, view it as a standalone film. It's like an alternate universe for a different Brad and Janet.

  • Richard O'Brien says it's not a sequel, not a prequel, but an EQUAL to RHPS.

  • This movie is pretty bad....but it is also pretty cool.

  • ST predicted reality TV and therefore rings more true today than it did in '81. In other words: "Shock Treatment" is timeless.

  • I cant get past the first 5 minutes without stop watching. And this is the 12th tim Ive tried. Plus Ive seen Rocky Horror over 200 times. This is a terrible movie and a abomination to everything R.H.P.S.

  • @ElysiumEmbrace How can you say that when you haven't seen more than five minutes by your own admission? Have a little faith in Richard O'Brien, you guys.

  • the first time i watched it, i thought it was crap, the second time, i liked it and the third time i loved it :) only wish it was about an other couple than brad and janet

  • This movie...god, it's so messed up. I used to hate it, and then I liked it, and then I hated it, liked it again, and now have no idea what the heck to make of it. Personally, I like RHPS better, but ST is still okay. So...uh...hoopla, Denton? XD

  • This actually has a peice of continuity from Rocky Horror. The newslady- Betty Hapschatt... they were at her wedding at the begginning of Rocky.

  • Thanks for uplouding this! i was looking for the movie time ago without any luck =)

  • i hate this movie itz stupid they didnt use the oragal brad and janet!!!richerd o'brien wont even talk about it he said it was a mistake and the songs r stupid and clombia isint clombia she is a nurse!!they tryed 2 make a 2nd part 2 rocky horror picturte show thumbs up if u aggre!!!!>:OOOO

  • @AuroraDee99 Wow, you can't spell at all. Just...shut the fuck up.

Look, this is not a sequel to Rocky Horror. You just don't like it because you were like "OOOOOHHH WAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! THERES NO FRANK! UH I HATE THIS MOVIE"

The songs in Shock Treatment are actually better.

Now, go and drink bleach. Like, now.

  • I mean, for examles, Brad not being able to keep up with the clapping, or the fact that Farley's five "F's" insignia looks vaguely aryan.

  • I like this movie better as I get older and have a better understanding of some of the social theory that underpins it. I think it doesn't quite get the props it deserves because it looks so cheap, and yet, Rich is clearly trying to create something so good despite the budget constraints. So many good little details.

  • I love how every time I watch this, I notice something new, just like RHPS. They were right in saying it was an equal. Horrible 80s movie made awesome!

  • THE PROBLEM WITH THE FILM IS THAT THE '50S NOW LOOK LIKE THE ANCIENT WORLD - UNLIKE WHEN ROCKY HOOR WAS MADE. THIS IS REALLY A VERY OUT OF DATE MOVIE. BETTER THAN MOST OF THE RUBBISH COMING OUT NOW BUT STILL A VERY DATED CLICHE MOVIE IN SOME RESPECTS. TOO SHITTY HOLLYWOOD.

  • @RayL1983 I agree with you. But Richard O'Brien made a nice try though.

  • @RayL1983 caps lock man

  • @RayL1983 So far ,looking at the audience I see a whole generation of people who from birth were all dreaming of "becoming" a Hollywood star, pinnacle of a life well lived.Later came half of USA who rejected it for values & now its worse since many want to be a star, nerd, sportsman, career person. Many are cynical about values, love, friendship.

  • Are you shitting me? I've wanted to see this since watching RHPS in 2007!!! Shame I can't watch it at the moment. I'm in college right now. I'll watch it as soon as I get home!! :D Thanks, man!!!

  • F for Fuck!

  • It's awesome. Although, not as catchy as RHPS. I'm only this far in and Dr Frank En Furter is still my role model. sooooo, alot to live up to here.

  • 'It's not a sequel but an equal.' It would be if it was released for the first time now in 2010. That's why people hated it. It was too far ahead of its time.

  • sucked.

  • thank's friend...i love youuuuu!!! jajaja

  • Funny that it's in America but the whole thing was made in England...

  • This would've been more successful if it was called "Rocky Horror 2".

  • Its amazing that this was filmed in london, yet you would think it was made in america, just like rocky horror picture show.I think it is what it is and not to be taken too seriously.I like it,but if it was made today i dont think it would even make it to dvd.

  • i luv bert!

  • The first time I saw this, I couldn't finish it. The first TEN times I saw this, I couldn't finish it. But I've since become convinced that this may be one of the best movies ever made. It's the little things, partly — Ansalong flashing her pants EVERY chance she gets, the fancy dinner in the padded room, that moment when Nation plucks the lemon slice from Janet's leg & eats it. But, mostly, it's the music. Since getting the soundtrack a few weeks ago, I've come to see, it's hopelessly GREAT.

  • I think I just saw John Candy

  • Gotta love Burt! :)

  • And Denton Girls are...

    *HURL*

    *GAG*

    *COUGH, COUGH*

    ... Full of beauty.

  • AKA The Brad & Janet Show

  • 666 at 4:09

  • @PennyDropper I've only spotted one six :p

  • iz this made by the same ppl who made rocky horror picture show?

  • Yeah, it's the crappy sequel

  • Tch, you people.

The music is better, the social satire is better, and the same writer was behind both films! Shock Treatment is a more than worthy sequel to RHPS!

  • yeah but i wish they used the same brad and janet characters....

  • Honestly, I don't know. It might have been nice to see Barry Bostwick again, but I think Jessica Harper has such a riveting voice.

  • Glad Tim Curry turned down the part

  • SUSAN SARANDON WILL ALWAYS BE JANET! NEVER JESSICA HARPER :l

  • Been a fan of this movie for over 10 yrs. Not as good as RHPS (And it's a shame it will follow in its shadow till the end of time), but it is still a gem to watch.

  • I always thought the cheerleaders were kinda goofy.

  • 10-10-2009. Happy Birthday, Jessica.

  • *lol* " and tolerance of the ethnic races...in Denton" cracks me up!

  • 0:48 xD PHNVKKKKK... Best sound ever.

  • it's great seeing this in a theater- it's not crowded- but just try to go to the bathroom after this before Rocky Horror is shown, and come back- where did all these people come from?

  • Shirley Feeney at 6:35

  • I never saw this, the sequel to the rocky horror show.

    Thanks for the upload

  • When Rocky Horror first came out, it was called crap too...it took a long time to catch on. Now we look at it with holy reverence. Don't be so quick to judge. The long term is still unknown.

  • no no

im one of those friday nite rocky horror picture show attendees and everyone who goes, young and old, hates shock treatment

  • you need a bit of ooo shock treatment! i think that this is one of those films where its not that great but you love it any way!

  • I thought it was gonna be an okay movie, and then the music started for the first number.....oh god.....who the hell was the shit head choreographer?

  • Is there anyone out there that can help me with a question? How is this CRAP a sequel to the wonderful classic The Rocky Horror Picture show? I mean there is a man named Brad and a woman named Janet but thats where the similarities end. It is a poorly written poorly made movie to quite the masses.

  • this isn't a sequel, but a prequel. and yes... it doesn't even come close to TRHPS

  • It's a sequel. Brad proposes to Janet at the chapel scene in RHPS and they're already married in this story. And Ralph and Betty who married in the first film are already divoced by this time in Shock Treatment.

  • And the Crim is in this as a character instead of a narrator. I also think that Richard O' Brian and Patricia Quinn are playing the same characters as they are in RHPS, but that's just speculation. They could be using fake names, though, I don't know why they would come back.

  • they came back because they're scheming again on earth.

  • Yeah, I think that Riff Raff And Magenta were made up characters created by a space captain and his wife (The ones that you see in the end of the film). Like they're spying on Frank to see if he's really dominating Earth. You know how some cops go undercover and act like they're one of the gangs/drug dealers/whatever? Like that. Except the penalty for not dominating a planet before people figure out that your an alien is death on Translvania. But that's just what I think.

  • It's a sequel--they're married here--and it's so different because it's spoofing different things.

Rocky Horror was a musical mash-up of drive-in movie cliches--cheesy monsters, gothic horror, mad scientists--with early 70s style.

Shock Treatment is a musical satire of television, so the entire thing feels and looks different; it's not a "science fiction double feature" like Rocky, it's a night of TV programming--a mix of TV-star musical shows and what we now call "reality TV."

  • is it me or are the f's swastickas

  • i also thought that :/

  • OMG!! THEY TOTALLY DO!

  • ummm i thought that Betty god married to that one dude and she was the same age as Brad and Janet. shes doesnt look like it

  • well Tim Curry was offered to come back and play brad cuz Barry Bostwick had other movies to play and Susan Sarandon wanted half a million dollars to play Janet again but i guess that wasnt going to happen. Jessica Harper wanted to play Janet from the start soo ya....but i still wish they had Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon play Brad and Janet
