@simonhazlitt I couldn't figure out how to do the X either; I'm guess they took that away in Final Cut Express 4...I just typed in number in the boxes next to where it says 'center'.
Hi there, please i need help with FCP 7. I downloaded the software and it was working fine, but i came home to realise my mum moved the FCP 7 to trash, i removed it from trash, clicked on it to open, and each time i do this comes up:
Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly
click reopen to open the application. This report will be sent to apple automatically.
When i click on "re open" the same thing keeps coming up PLEEASE HELP!
I have been trying to do this, and I have it set up like yours, but I never get the white colored lines in the x shape on the canvas. So naturally, I cannot really do this at the moment. Any ideas why?
@gamerdew64 I have Pro so I don't know how Express is laid out, but in the preview window near the top there are these three little tabs, the last one is represented by a square little symbol. Click it and it will give you the option for Image + Wireframe.

Are there any ways to this on a free, maybe downloadable, type of software. I use a PC not a Mac, therefore i do not have Final Cut. Are there any substitutes?
how can i make t so that i dont have to render all my footage everytime i make a change before i can see it in the canvas? every time i make a change if i try to watch it it says unrendered and i must go up and render it before i can watch it in the canvas, its really annoying.
