Where are their hard hats and safety goggles? Why does the shredder sit without a frame around it preventing unintentional entry.

Do you fail to understand the concept of safety equipment? It's not about preventing your head from being crushed when you fall into the shredder.

Have you ever had anything fly toward you? A hardhat and safety glasses will reduce the likelihood of those things from hurting you severely.
