If she was honorably discharged, she is eligible for affordable health care. Her child is not! Some of us are disabled because of our service in Iraq and although we receive health care for us, we cannot get health care for our dependants.
People should look at the whole picture before deciding on which candidate they back.

Honorably discharged veterans can get primary care from the VA. Senator McCain never said he wanted to stay in Iraq one thousand years. Obama did stay, however, that he would pull troops out ASAP, regardless of what his military commanders told recommended or what damage that would do.

Are we getting a return on investment on MY TAX DOLLAR in Iraq?? I honestly have not heard about any Taliban being captured or killed in Iraq, so how has this made me safer at home? The only way this could have made us safer is by putting our soldiers in striking distance of the enemy and almost using them as decoys. Fuel prices are extremely high. Was it a 1,000 years or a 100 years McCain mentioned? A factor of ten is a big thing. Oh wait, supposed she was off by two factors of ten in the other direction. If he had said 10 years or even 1 more year is that equally acceptable? Regardless of how long the US will ultimately invest in time, money, and blood the Iraqi people will, in a 1000 year's time, still be apathetic about government and civility. It seems, then, that no matter the time frame, some things just can't be fixed.

People need to stop looking for handouts and start being responsible adults or we're going to end up going the route of the socialists. If you need money go to a charity. The government should be minimized, and the federal government's only real reponsibility is to defend the states and regulate commerce between them- read the Constitution and you'll see what I mean. If you want healthcare help then ask your governer.

Obama should be consistent and call for "troop withdrawals" and "bring home our troops" from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Japan, Germany, Korea, Kuwait, Kosovo, Bosnia, Poland, Panama and the host of other countries that have not attacked us...

As a disabled veteran (Bush War 1) I stand with the veterans. Ever wonder why the majority of active duty service men/women overwhelmingly support Obama over the other three candidates? Hint: it is because they know what is going on on the ground. McCain is just another arm of the Industrial Military Complex that want war and more wars. After all, it's more money in their pockets and less in our treasury. The blood of our brave service men/women is on their hands.
