  • The idea was great but they killed the harmony by mistakenly changing the chords.

  • Amazing!!! this the music of what's going on!!? The funkbrothers rules

  • I usually don't care for mashups but I like this one. Two cool songs and it works- nicely done.

  • very cool!

  • 40 people don't know what's goin' on and should go home.

  • This is the greatest thing on the internet

  • It's good, but its not the right tone for the song. It's supposed to express the sadness of the parents as she leaves. Not make them want to dance. But overall, a pretty good change.

  • en partes bueno y en partes malo

  • 5 outa 5 guess who influenced The Beatles? njob

  • good mix

  • Jamerson + The Beatles. BEST DAY EVAAAAR.

  • title: "whats going on, is she is leaving home"

  • @trufiend138 That seems to be the best title for this mashup mix.

  • What Beatles songs have you heard? Obviously nothing past 1965.

  • the list goes on .. change the damn pic and put paul up there and HIS music. u just destroyed a masterpiece. smh

  • you ought to be ashamed! how dare u blaspheme my man marvins song with these blokes mixed in. the biggest rip offs ever! the beatles sucked and no one wants to admit it. sorry if your offended but damn.the brits are theifs satisfation rolling stones , aint no mountain mixed over amy winehouse tears dry on their own. damn !

  • @marlygaye You did spell several words correctly in your post... I'm not sure if that was intentional.

  • ¡bien ahi! Salu2

  • Wow this makes me feel like making out...

    I Like the version !

  • I could call this mashup She's Going On or What's Leaving Home

  • @Uetti She's Leaving Gay

  • brilliant mashup! congratz!

  • Awesome! The bass line sounds uncannily like "What's goin' on" ...

  • @todds7 Thats because it is.

  • awesome!!!!! great mix of the beatles and motown im down loading this and will put it on cd great job please do more like this

  • Nossa, que versão maneira! :)

Trabalho muito bem feito. Realmente gostei.

    Merece um "like".

  • great job

  • James Jamerson, seu safadinho!

  • 夢のカードだ!!!

    すげえwww

  • I really love it

  • Better than the original,for me!^^

  • hahahaha

  • Magic! perfect! incredible remix. george martin would be really proud!

  • SUBLIME THIS AM...

  • great work 5*

  • Paul McCartney and James Jameson were made for each other!

  • Am I in heaven or what tell me please

  • This is just plain cool! Good Job.

  • how can 33 people dislike this???? It is a meld of one of the best songs ever written and a quite good Macca song - with a bass line that Macca would give his hind teeth for by Jmaes Jamerson

  • I'm a hardcore Beatles fan, but this is just so cool. It doesn't slaughter the original like other remixs, it puts a nice spin on it instead. Very well done.

  • Probably the coolest mash-up ever.

  • @SuperBoldman exactly my thoughts - I think it may be a copyright thing

  • this is amazing. thank you!

  • I listen to this version so much that the original version sounds strange - lol

  • It's Lennon/McCartney .....not McCartney/ Lennon

  • this is amazing

  • Motown is happy music. She's Leaving Home isn't supposed to be a happy song. But great job. It sounds good.

  • Nice to see a new version of a beatles song, sang by the Beatles... Thank you!

  • Warped in the most beautiful way,the juxtaposition made it haunting.I yearn to post some of my works here and your vibe was inspired as well as inspiring, which to me personally is a God moment,I say that to say as a fellow artist i feel that we are vehicles for the things he has us add to the world to hopefully bring us closer...Sorry,didn't mean to get on a soap box...Inspired by the mix and got caught up...

  • WOW!!!!! It fits just right. COOOL!!!!!!

  • Però, che figata

  • Sounds different and kind of strange but very interesting.

  • Beautiful!! Very well done sir.

  • This combination should not work at all. But it... DOES! How did you come up with the idea to mash these two songs?

  • This is one of the coolest things I have ever heard

  • Well done!

  • wait, what's the funk brothers song used?

  • pretty good mash up!! it really brings out Jamerson's bass

  • who put this together? genius! bravo.

  • Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....[cough] [cough] ha ha ha ha ha ha [cough] [cough] ha ha [cough] [cough]....

  • Doesn't work for me. Apples and oranges.

  • It's suiting! Wow!

  • Lennon/McCartney

  • Strangely fascinating, or has the beer kicked in?

  • That is so clever (and amazing how similar the two songs are. ) Wonderful job!

  • Bass is off but cool concept...

  • Interesting, but the bass line of the Marvin Gaye song doesn't match the chords of Beatles song enough to make it great. (IMHO)

  • ya know wut? this makes me smile.i get it.this prooves that music is a universal language.well done.and i agree with the comment that macca shud hear this.the idea is defin8ly ther.more please! thanx!

  • Shit sounds lovely. Whoever doesn't like it can go somewhere. But of course, Marvin Gaye's voice is the best on this instrumental.

  • cool!

  • Comment removed

  • That is superb!!

  • Brilliant!

  • nice touch "mccartney/lennon" ;-)

  • This is a fantastic mix.

  • Excellent, unique perspective!! Thanx!

  • I don't think the melody and the singing go together. They do nothing for each other. I'll bet if Smokey were to sing this song, he'd put his spin on the McCartney melody. He wouldn't rewrite the melody to sound like a Motown song.

  • incredible idea! it works!

  • horrible

  • Questa versione sembra fatta da Paul McCartney in persona. Incredibile. Bravo.

  • @Fantastica versione..

  • Ruined :/

  • amazing how good "she's leaving home" sounds with the funk brothers behind it.

sounds to be a slightly different tempo in songs but it sounds amazing.

i believe it's from the backing to "whats going on" live version. that Bass is outstanding and i know mcCartney has mention in the past,he was impressed by jamerson

  • 7/10

  • This is the coolest thing I've heard in a LONG time. Great job!

  • This is truly phenomenal.

  • Sempre digo que falta uma melanina nos Beattles e ninguém me entende. Valew cara, faça mais!

  • this mix of beatles and motown sounds like an accident to me - did someone leave the tape on by mistake?

  • sorri i dont like this version is just a fake :)

  • this is so good

  • I'm so sorry.... George Martin should've called Motown.Paul should hear this if he hasn't.

  • saw the funk brothers some maybe 5 years ago or so down at campus martius in Detroit for the jazz festival. Was like you were actually there at the motown recording sessions. Maybe it's from being here, but something about motown just has a special feeling about it. Proud to have been surrounded by motown since birth

  • Sorry... forgot to mention

    WELL DONE lucalbo! ♪

    More of this stuff please!

    Cheers man

  • Damn ! Great Music !

  • Dude this is awesome!! What else you got?

  • It's great. I think Macca and The Funk Bros would all dig it!!

  • Now, this is really a crime :-)

  • OK idea but it doesn't work - you've managed to turn two great songs into a bland mush

  • Interesting. It works.

  • ...very very interesting mix...thumbs up from a serious motown old head..

  • golden lady, golden lady, I'd like to go there ・・・

    Good work, lucalbo san

  • brazilians got the rhythm

  • @rubensvanguarda

yes! and the blissness ....and i am from Argentina....

  • brilliant !!!!

  • And how do you get the Motown backing tracks? This is a wonderful piece, made me laugh out loud!

  • I got chills hearing this! Good job! Wow!

  • @RabbiEvan I got them from the web. Look out for multitrack masters. There are 4 songs from Sgt. Pepper's.

  • genius.

  • What is this!

  • Comment removed

  • If only the Beatles had a rhythm section this good!

  • This is INSPIRED!!

  • This is INSPIRED!!! and i'd like to think i know what i'm talking about because i've played bass since '76 and freely admit i owe a debt of gratitude to Maestro James Jamerson, Sr.

  • Beautiful.....

  • That was incredible!!!!

  • this is great.

  • not good.

  • Sounds like a 1970s version of the song. I absolutely love it.

  • Are you you making more? I really would like to see what you can come up with. This is great, we need more!!

  • @anthrax1218 Been working on a Temptations/J.Jamerson audio mashed with J.Bonham and K.Moon, but still need some work on it. Would love to get my hands on The Beatles Rock Band stuff, but no one has cracked it yet. Cheers!

  • @lucalbo

I almost hit the floor when John started singing, and can I have a corpy, this is GREAT.

    Touch......Ava

  • @lucalbo Temptations com Bonham/Moon?! C#&%$!! Termina logo isso aí, Albino!!

Temptations + Bonham/Moon?! S#&%$!! Give it to us already!!

  • Albo que maravilha!!!! A música ganhou outra cara e eu não paro de escutar. Muito bom.. faz outras!! heh

    Abraço

  • WAY better than beatles original

  • @trufiend138 Yessss!!! and better than Marvin Gaye original!!!

  • Absolutely wild man...Keep it coming!!!

  • Anyone have a guitar tab for this? I'm bad at picking out chords.

  • Having listened and seen many Beatles songs that were covers of others (John selection of many Motown artists), I've always wondered (to the point of arranging) what other songs would have sounded like if the Beatles continued to cover. This piece goes way beyond an answer to my "wondering!" Brilliant work. Thank you for the fine entertainment.

  • I love it very very much

  • I *@#hate that there's so many idiots on youtube with nothing to do but bash other peoples comments. Hey Denmark boy if you disagree with me go **fk off - people can disagree or have different view points and still be cicvil. I guess you're so stupid that you need to learn about life from other people's youtube comments..Yes - learn something won't you; I don't care if you like that I call this video the work of a visionary. I don't care if you don't know what a visionary is;I'm sure you don't!

  • Wow! I found this great and really funny in fact too. I love the songs 'what's going on' from MARVIN GAYE and 'She's leaving home' from Beatles. Both songs fix together cool because both songs got an orchestral backing arrangement very soul and impassioned.

By the case: Paul McCartney was a fan of Motown music by then, in the previous album from Sgt pepper, in Revovler, he composed a song, called 'Good day sushine' with many arangements on the style of late 50's MOTOWN with happy-positiv tone

  • well done :D good version!!

  • the bass work is so romantic.. this came from an 18 year old musical critic.

  • Wow!!! Brillant!!!! I heard that Paul was on record talking about James Jamerson being the best bassist alive! ain't that the truth!

  • @mrstrat222

McCartney is the reason I took up the bass. Jamerson may be my reason for giving it up.

  • @80sVideoLord hahaha. good one. keep playing man!

  • @80sVideoLord probably my favourite comment ive ever read

  • @80sVideoLord You never were a musician then.

  • Nicely done - all you assholes piss off; this is a visionary's work. If you're not a musician with at least 25 years under your belt YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CRITICIZE another musican's work....McCartney would be impressed

  • @80sVideoLord

By far the stupidest remark I've read lately.

I do agree that this is a funny idea, and that it's close to working out perfectly, and I'm impressed aswell, but visionary? Oh, and I've been a musician and songwriter for 21 years. That enough?

  • @Quitedk - evidently you have an attitude problem grow up - I wasn't trying to insult you - so go away and get a better outlook on life..for a musician you seem uptight..smoke a bone, loosen up

  • @Quitedk ...I guess you think you're preety slick posting how many years you've been a musican - I guess you think being the best musician means having been doing it longer. I've been playing for longer than you've been alive; 41years. I guess I win., right. That's how one wins this battle of wits on the internet?.you're response to my comment is lame..and if you want to read the stupidest remark, read your own sometime. If you don't like the vid, get lost - stop bothering people

  • @80sVideoLord -well said mate. it disgusts me to see the amount of negativity and bitterness on a site where people spend their own time posting videos for the enjoyment of others. Somebody posts anything, and 1000 assholes are typing 'I could do better', 'it's not as good as this or that' , 'you're a fag' etc. what a society we live in!

  • @jamesjonesrocket

I wish there were more friendly people in the world...wouldn't it be nice if people would stop treating each other so thoughtlessly?

  • this is unbelievable! motown beatles rule!

  • Parallel Universe experience!! Pretty clever stuff!

  • Wow this is a brilliant mash-up....nice job.

  • Damn that's clever. A complete headfuck to listen to (in a good way) but very clever.

  • This is COOL! 'Got an MP3 of this?

  • genial

  • The best Beatle cover i have ever lisent to.... Glorious!!

  • the vocal phrasing doesn't fit

  • @freddyfvckface ever heard of syncopation you idiot???

  • @freddyfvckface bullshit. this is an absolute classic. weird how the 2 parts fit pretty much perfectly !

  • This breaks my head, but it works so well.

  • good one

  • oh my god where can i download this version? i need to hear it in my car!

  • Love it !

  • "You got Beatles in my Marvin Gaye!"

"You got Marvin Gaye in my Beatles!"

Two great songs that sound great together!

  • Wonderful!

  • Has McCartney heard this? He might really dig it, he loves Motown stuff.

  • @ironbuttermilk how the fck would we know

  • @airnsmke Well You certainly don't know shit, that's pretty clear. LOL. :P

  • @ironbuttermilk --I have to disagree. Motown records are oftne superior, but this one ruins the beautiful melody. I mean it really ruins the song

  • @loyaldude10 Disagree? With what? I didn't say anything about it myself, just that Paul 'might' dig it. He said in an interview that he likes hearing cover versions, and since he likes Mowtown. . . . .

  • @ironbuttermilk Not only that my friend... in a special note from Bass Player - August 1995 - he stated : "I started listen to other bassplayers -mainly Motown - as time went on, James Jamerson became my hero"

    Shake hands with Macca

  • Proper credit...Lennon/McCartney....

  • shit dude, i really dig this.

  • wow, i'mpressive

  • Mind blowing. Love it. Thank you for the download!

  • well these mash ups never really work.oh hang on.....

    time to post this everywhere!

  • I AM QUITE SPEECHLESS!

    EXCELLENT

  • Hi lucalbo. I am a Motown,Marvin and Beatle fan from Liverpool (Beatles home town). This is a piece of magic you have created. James Jamerson was the King of bass player's . WELL DONE. CONGRATULATIONS

  • nice try

  • the only problem is how you can get better a perfect song? if i didn't hear the original version, this would be great

  • OMG...this is SICK!...I LOVE IT!!. Proves that music's universal...all on the same page...all on the same backbeat. Amazing...thank you for posting.

  • Ok Folks how's this then this mix has inspired my band to do it live

here it is just type this in she's leaving home by the beatles soul immigrants version

    and thankyou so much Luciano!!!

  • Brilliant.
