@NinjaVelocity I have to say that, Majora's Mask is my fav of the whole LoZ series. Its dark, timeless, has a good story, and it breaks you of your fears that you have.
Honestly, The SONG OF HEALING has always helped me in my darkest hour. It may sound scary to some people, but to me, its the Legend of Zelda. cant be replaced, cant be remade. Beautiful remedy in this dark place called life. Even the scariest places in ur soul can be risen to light from the Song of Healing. LoZ 2 LIFE.

I remember that one of those Twilight monsters you can only kill when your a wolf was stalking me almost the whole game. Oh and sometimes the game would freeze for a bit and show the Monsters face. Finally, the last boss battle the music was backwards and the monster was chasing me. This one term got me through the game "It cant hurt me". O yeah, and not playing at 12am :p

@TheNinwii Regardless a little preparation is good because people will riot anyway so being prepared for delayed medical service, police action, firefighters, and such is always a good thing. and with most preparations you a prepared for anything. Which is always a good thing even if you were preparing for a ludicrous situation.
This really is a song of healing. Everytime I hear this song something in me is brought out of me, making my eyes swell up and I just want to cry from the times as a kid playing this game. As I grow up I understand the pain in life more and more and I realize how special my childhood was. Half of the whole game is the music and it just amazes me how some idiots call games like COD the best game ever when the best times I had in my whole life was playing Zelda.

god this game is really the best. yes oot and lttp were both amazing, but I felt this was far better developed than either. the monumental amount of sidequests, the awesome dungeons, and the often tear-jerking storyline are unmatched by anything we play today.
The storyline, the gameplay, the combat, the dungeons. EVERYTHING about this game was amazing when i played it. I only wish there was a way for me to play it all again, I'm sure i spent more time in this game then i have in any other game I've ever played. Such a brilliant game, and there won't ever be another like it
@ChronosTheDemon Yeh, get the collectors edition, I got it and I can play Oot and MM on my Wii with a classic controller. I also got a N64 emulator on my laptop and use a spliced Xbox controller. Works alright as well :)
Majora's mask is so dark. I love it. It pushes the limits and goes beyond the death theme, adding in spirit, love, and memories. Most games such as Silent Hill startle you or creep you out. This game breaks your heart. In reality I think that's pretty scary.

OoT didnt tell you about the struggle of those who had suffered fates unimaginable. OoT didn't give you a close up of just how human people can be. @DoctorBoggles it does mention that the people have no idea that the moon is about to crash into the earth, hence their festival as opposed to their running and screaming. just sayin'. the storyline of majora's mask may be better developed, but the puzzles and such of OoT were much better. I am in no way saying or even suggesting that Majora's Mask is bad, it's a great game, but OoT is just that little bit better.
@tsutanai95 They both had an equal set of puzzles.... Sure MM had less dungeons, but it made up for it with the side quest challenges and secrets stored all over the game.
I made a huge mistake back in the day when I thought Majora's was not worthy to follow Ocarina's story, as I look back Majora s could be the only game able to top Ocarina's as best game ever, and it is the main reason on why I want to buy a wii.
The thing that puts this game above OOT in my own opinion is this: You are not saving a kidnapped princess (who frankly is less of a character and more a fact) from an evil man (who is merely a plot device). You are saving a town full of good people, and for that matter an entire land from a falling moon. And the cause of this is not pure evil. It is a lonely kid who unwittingly took more power than he could ever imagine, and he suffered for it.

The townspeople at first think it will never happen, then it does and they panic...Couples and families cling onto each other in hopes they will survive...

All in all, not too far from our own planet, minus giant moons with faces haha!
@12timesadayman lol what on earth are you talking about? You save Zelda in the end at OoT, but you revive all the sages and complite the tempels to save all of Hyrule. You save more people in OoT than you do in Majora's Mask. Both games are amazing (even though OoT is the best game of all times), but the thing I like about this game is how all the people you meet end up and are connected in one way or the other. And it's a dark and scary Zelda. And a really hard one the first time !!
@perrtorp I respect your opinion but I also think you're wrong about the best game ever its the second best.. In MM, not only is there a game over screen but you do actually die if you fail, the main thing that stuck in my mind on this game was in the end, if you didn't turn back time, you would see Link's last moments. Yes, Hyrule is full of people, but you don't go through any tasks of helping or saving them, in the process, learning about them and their lives.

This really is a song of healing. Everytime I hear this song something in me is brought out of me, making my eyes swell up and I just want to cry from the times as a kid playing this game. As I grow up I understand the pain in life more and more and I realize how special my childhood was. Half of the whole game is the music and it just amazes me how some idiots call games like COD the best game ever when the best times I had in my whole life was playing Zelda.

If you look at the music structure, it ties in with the theme of the game:

god this game is really the best. yes oot and lttp were both amazing, but I felt this was far better developed than either. the monumental amount of sidequests, the awesome dungeons, and the often tear-jerking storyline are unmatched by anything we play today.

The storyline, the gameplay, the combat, the dungeons. EVERYTHING about this game was amazing when i played it. I only wish there was a way for me to play it all again, I'm sure i spent more time in this game then i have in any other game I've ever played. Such a brilliant game, and there won't ever be another like it

@ChronosTheDemon Yeh, get the collectors edition, I got it and I can play Oot and MM on my Wii with a classic controller. I also got a N64 emulator on my laptop and use a spliced Xbox controller. Works alright as well :)

Majora's mask is so dark. I love it. It pushes the limits and goes beyond the death theme, adding in spirit, love, and memories. Most games such as Silent Hill startle you or creep you out. This game breaks your heart. In reality I think that's pretty scary.

@tsutanai95 OoT didnt tell you a grim, sad story of the people who thought the very apocolypse was at their door. How they held tight to each other, hoping for the best. OoT didnt tell you about the struggle of those who had suffered fates unimaginable. OoT didn't give you a close up of just how human people can be. It didn't give you an emotion so deeply for animated characters. Lastly, OoT didnt teach you a very powerful, strong moral sense on how to treat each other. MM>>>>>>>>>>>>OoT

@DoctorBoggles it does mention that the people have no idea that the moon is about to crash into the earth, hence their festival as opposed to their running and screaming. just sayin'. the storyline of majora's mask may be better developed, but the puzzles and such of OoT were much better. I am in no way saying or even suggesting that Majora's Mask is bad, it's a great game, but OoT is just that little bit better.

@tsutanai95 They both had an equal set of puzzles.... Sure MM had less dungeons, but it made up for it with the side quest challenges and secrets stored all over the game.

The thing that puts this game above OOT in my own opinion is this: You are not saving a kidnapped princess (who frankly is less of a character and more a fact) from an evil man (who is merely a plot device). You are saving a town full of good people, and for that matter an entire land from a falling moon. And the cause of this is not pure evil. It is a lonely kid who unwittingly took more power than he could ever imagine, and he suffered for it.

The townspeople at first think it will never happen, then it does and they panic...Couples and families cling onto each other in hopes they will survive...
All because someone gained more power than they can handle and became corrupted...
All in all, not too far from our own planet, minus giant moons with faces haha!

@12timesadayman lol what on earth are you talking about? You save Zelda in the end at OoT, but you revive all the sages and complite the tempels to save all of Hyrule. You save more people in OoT than you do in Majora's Mask. Both games are amazing (even though OoT is the best game of all times), but the thing I like about this game is how all the people you meet end up and are connected in one way or the other. And it's a dark and scary Zelda. And a really hard one the first time !!

@perrtorp I respect your opinion but I also think you're wrong about the best game ever its the second best.. In MM, not only is there a game over screen but you do actually die if you fail, the main thing that stuck in my mind on this game was in the end, if you didn't turn back time, you would see Link's last moments. Yes, Hyrule is full of people, but you don't go through any tasks of helping or saving them, in the process, learning about them and their lives.
