  • did the crucible survive?

  • En lisant les commentaires, j'ai vue que t'a mis du Zinc pis du Souffre, mais c'est quoi les proportions? J'ai vu que ça fait au moins 3 ans que t'a faites c't expérience là, tant mieux si tu t'en rappel.

  • @nickalisse : simplement proportions stoechiometriques : Zn + S = ZnS

  • @groswilly Ben oui! J'aurais dû y penser, merci quand même, c'est très gentil.

  • ne faites pas sa chez vous les enfants!

  • lol wheres my comment? :S

i guess i wrote about sparklers.. im actually not sure if they use magnesium in denmark.. but bano3, aluminium and iron.. and then probably some other metal fuel.. that makes the aluminium unusable for flashpowder..

  • Good stuff man! 5 stars ;-D

  • Nice Greeeen light....

  • WHAT A NITELIGHT

  • ZnS is a semiconductor.

  • is ZnS a material of firework..?

  • Harry did that In his firplace and ended up in diagonalley!

  • cool

  • I'm too stupid too understand this so all I say is "OOooo big fire IS good"

  • zinc burning is so freaking bright, you can't really feel it through a video though. It would easily blind one who's staring at this experiment without special goggles

  • yea, but jost for some time :P (magnesium is the moast 'blinding')

  • this must be how fireworks are made..

  • Sparklers use this.

  • thought they used iron filings and an oxidiser... different brands i guess but i could be wrong

  • Iron can be used as well as aluminum, steel and magnesium. Like you said, I think it just depends on the brand.

  • nope q: most use a binder (in my country they use clay) and magnesium, iron powder and barium nitrate (:

  • Now THAT'S what I call some nice fireworks!

  • SHINY!!! o.O

  • that was class! does it smell like rotten eggs?

  • violent and nice reaction

  • Zinc Sulfide very nice

  • that doesn't look like the safest environment for an experiment like this... just on a table or something, haha... :P

  • Your point would be valid if it were a coffee table in a living room.

    This is a chemistry lab.

  • hmm... Yessir! Just jokin yah know... hence the :P

  • Nice! Yay!

  • what was it what did you inser in that contnent.(malade qu`est-ce que tas mit dedans)??!!!

  • cool
