Hey I have a vitamix tourboblend VS and it's super great. When I tell folks about my blender, they ask is it the one that Montel advertises. No is the answer. So, I stopped by youtube to check out the Montel Blender. Thanks Tanya. This HealthMaster blender is not a good investment. For the money and 7 year warranty Vitamix is the way to go. It's been around 4 a long time. My friend in Cali had hers since 1993. Makes beautiful green smoothies, peanut butter and almond milk and more.

@teetoreeto Thanks for the response. I have to do an update... I can't even do a comparison video of the vitamix & the healthmaster bcz the dang health master just STOPPED working. All the lights etc come on... but the motor wont spin the blade. Nothing happens. I am going to PAY out of pocket to have it fixed JUST so I can do a review.

She may be right, but gave the WORST&Longest "review" I've EVER seen:

1.I've seen the infomercial-haven't bought it-& I even knew why the damn thing didnt come on while shes had it for a while & acted completely clueless as to why it wouldn't come on :P

2.She blended the HELL out of 2 fruits (no leafy greens at-tall) & claimed the ice cubes were almost whole but wasnt using the setting for ice--Umm WTF??

this is crap. i have a healthmaster and when i put in the carrots and orange and ice i just push start then put to speed 8 and its all done in seconds. speed 1 is not for making ice to cool water. she is doing this on purpose to make the healthmaster look bad. all you have to do is read the directions that come with it to see out of use it. she is just make it seem bad for her own purpose.

I had this blender for about 2plus years and never had a problem with it. Only ever used it for blending fruit n vegetables for juicing but I NEVER had a problem with it. Couldnt be more happy, best blender Ive ever had -just take care of it and always wipe it where theres metal.

--Cant comment on the costumer service cause I never had to contact them.

Only cons I have is the price, and yes it is loud, but thats cause there's a serious motor in it. 2thumbs way up 4this sucka. -great machine

this product is not worth the money, it leaks and is not better than a regualr blender. this is just another exampke of a tv star attaching their name to a lame product and over charging for it., they do not stand behind the product and it had a huge defect, it leaks and rusts

your not blending it right .your way over blending it ..all you have to do is just load it up like it says in the manual .then turn on the speed from one to eight ...in a matter of 20 sec..that's it, you don't need to run it on i min on fruits and vegetables

@Rocketgirl425 Have you had it long? if you just got it I recommend you use it everyday before your 6 weeks is up because if you use it everyday it will start leaking, and you can get your money back, but not the shipping fees.

@peterdaniel66 Obviously I didn't buy from that liar, but it doesn't hurt to be cautious now & then. It might be best to eat the rind now & then, but you have to consider personal preference. If she doesn't like the taste of pith & rind, she doesn't have to eat it. Flavor was a factor in choosing berries w/ greens as opposed to not eating greens at all. Likewise if she wants to call that liquidy fruit substance juice or even macaroni, she has a right to do so because it's her preference

I noticed that you essentially shaved the orange and got rid of the white pulp. Also you used carrots without the green tops. These two parts are the most nutritious of the fruit.

Also, do your body a favor and dont mix heavy fibrous starchy foods like carrots, broccoli etc. with fruit. Try adding spinach as well as many other greens. You will see an amazing difference in your energy and health.

please do not call the results juice as it is the whole fruit and is way way more nutritious.

@peterdaniel66 Eating the rind is helpful nutrients wise. However, it is hard to get rid of the pesticides beneath all that wax. They say if you blanch the produce, you will get rid of 90%. There are also veggie washes that may also do the job. I believe many companies honestly intend to sell organic wares, but I learned a strawberry stand claiming to be organic actually used a "little" pesticide... after they encouraged me to eat a berry unwashed. I have been cautious since.

The Health Master is top notch! Of course your not going to get great results if you continue to blend on level 1. Thats why there are 8 levels! I've had no problem turning my veggies and fruits into liquids. I run my Health Master on level 5 for about 40 seconds and with great results. For the price and the results of this machine it is by far the best blender on the market and that includes to OVER PRICE Vita Mix!

thank you for the review. My first one started smoking, burnt out and tripped the circuit breakers in my kitchen! Cust service was a nightmare, sent it back got a new one, and then the container started leaking oil. I put clear water in it, ran it on 8 for a minute, and the water started turning brown! I was livid! After dealing with a rude woman in cust service, she said the oil was normal and I said you let your car leak oil? Returned it for a refund UGH. I ordered a Vitamix today :)

Have had this machine for 3 months now. Love the crazy delicious juice concoctions I've made but yes, the cast iron piece on the bottom rusted out after 1 month and it drips rusty gunk all over the counters when the mixing is done. I should have just paid the extra money and gone with the Vitamix, which is a much better product and, though expensive, is worth the money. If you want a real long lasting juicer, this ain't it.

BB&B sell other models too that have withstood the test of time. The 2 HP Blendtec $399, 3 HP Watring Pro $399 and Vitamix CIA $499 are all sold there but with special orders with 20% off coupon, tax, and shipping. They now seem to be my best next choice. Decisions....decisions....!

Hi Tonya, I've had my Health Master Blender for about 6 weeks now. I wish I had seen this vid before purchasing it. It is leaking really bad and I agree with you that it takes more power to do what it did initially.

I think the motor is to powerful for the plastic container and that their is a space around the middle part that rust on the bottom. Maybe the seal is not properly fitted, but that is where it leaks from. I'm sending mine back tomorrow, yes I have to pay to resend and get it back

Montell is a music critic, not an appliance expert. I am waiting for Tonya to say, "Well, we put a couple lug nuts, a lag bolt, and a two by four in this blender and In My Opinion, this should have made this a little smoother." This is an electric mixer, not a garbage disposal. Seeds and whole carrots are hard as a piece of a palm tree. (personal experience) Don't try the heart of a mango in a blender, either, I can hardly get through that with a hacksaw. Love you, dear, you are a lovely woman.

Hi Tonya, good job. I have some bad news for these folks. I blend stuff everyday since I changed my diet. My cheap a** Osterizer I bought at the drug store beats this thing. It is the cheapest model and they make them up to a Chrome Beehive model. Good review. The manufacturers of products that are not neccary accessories to healthy foods, but make eating a bulk of vegetable matter an easier process. Thanks.

The Healthmaster instructional video recommends beginning at level one power for seconds than moving up to level 8 for liquifying. Also, I have put a cap full of ice an it was not recognizable in the liquid. Check out the instructional videos on youtube.

@MsRed45 A juicer and a blender are two different machines with different pluses and minuses. I used to juice, but I've since learned the value of the fiber, roughage and pulp dashed away by the juicer is something I want in my life. The only reason to go for a juicer over a blender is if for some reason you NEED to eliminate the digestion of fiber. Other than that with a blender you get both! :)

Hi Tonya, I have this blender and I love it. I make awesome smoothies with it. The only thing I don't like is that its sooooo noisy...LOL....I swear I wake up the neighborhood...but the maintenance is the best......very easy to wash after. I make green smoothies all the time.....I have a video on my channel showing me making a green smoothie with the blender. P.S- Is 30 seconds enough time though? I normally blend for about 2 mins on speed 2-3.

I rather like the "on" switches. It keeps little hands out and away from it, especially because of how strong it is. I know as a kid I was a complete retard, set on cutting off fingers/toes/nose :P I gotta admit though, the noise would be a little bit too much for me to handle.

My juicer has that same double lock feature...Lazy people consider it a "minus" in most of the reviews I've read. I think it's a plus as a child proofing/safety feature. Just depends on the person I guess.

I make protein drinks/smoothies everyday. I have the Cuisinart Smooth Operator that cost about 60 bucks and it will take ANYTHING you throw at it wet or dry. Crushing ice is too easy with it in about 30 seconds also. It is relatively quiet and has no rust issues. I have had mine in use everyday for almost 2yrs now. Great product. If I was going to buy a professional model, it would definitely be a Vitamix machine. Don't wast time and money on anything else. Nice video Tonya.

@TonyaTko Wow, thanks Tonya. I go to Smoothie King down here in Augusta from time to time and all of their machines are made by Vtiamix. They make their smoothies with fruit, dry supplements and ice. No water. Yet the drinks come out smooth. I will definitely buy a Vitamix machine at some point. Probably when my Cuisinart breaks down. You look very nice on the video btw. I'm sure you will get your own show soon.
