@Patton122145 Let's take this into play. Mariano has pitched 15 years. Trevor pitched 17. Trevor saved 601 games and Mariano saved 559. Trevor is just a consistent but was plagued with bad teams. Marlins,Padres, and brewers. Mariano always had a fast fastball and the games best cutter that some times still hits mid 90's. Trevor had 85-90 fastball and a change-up his whole career.Mo was blessed with a great arm and a great team.(The greatest team) and trevor still has more saves.Theyre both gr8

Hoffman does have more saves, but the stats are somewhat misleading.

The stats of 601 to 559 only count the regular season. But what if post-season stats were included. Again Rivera has the benefit of being on the Yankees and having the chance to reach the playoffs every year, but when called he still has to make the save.

In total Hoffman has 605 saves and Rivera has 600 even.

They are both great and both sure Hall Of Famers, but Mariano is the better of the two.

In one of your previous comments you said you felt that Hoffman was better, and I feel differently.

As far as if Hoffman would've better on the Yankees, two things could be questioned. Can he pitch in the American League? And could he be as effective?

His changeup is his money pitch, but I don't know if he could survive with that fastball in the American League
