I've been desperately wishing to learn japanese. Aside from chat rooms where would you suggest I start for the 'basic training' of the language? As I am recently sober after years of struggling with addiction I have a lot of free time on my hands. That in addition to the fact that I do graphic design and television production I am able to the majority of my job anywhere in the world. Throwing myself into the Japanese culture with JUST enough linguistic skills is something that I cannot pass up.

Well, as far as his ticket and room, I'm not sure who payed for those. His first night here though, we treated him as a guest and payed for his meal. I just got lucky beign able to meet ''Daigaku san'' hahaha. He was a cool guy.
