The Emperor is not the biggest Scorpion per say. Its the biggest on average, but their have been bigger Scorpions found. Largest recorded was 9". As a rule of thumb the smaller species have more potent venom, since they have weaker pincers. This guy here on the video usually just grasp and crushes its prey, only resorting to its venom as a last resort. You can see the same thing about Spiders the 1" Widow and Hobo have more potent venom. The large spiders bite is like a bit sting.

Well, I think there's another specie that get larger of Pandinus imperator, the Heterometrus swammerdami. In natural habitats have found specimens of 32-35 cm. In captivity the grow up to 25-27 centimeters STV.

Also unless your allergic to bee stings, this sting is very minor and most of the time less then the sting of a honey bee, also they can control how much they inject. I had an Emperor Scorpion as a pet when I was a kid. Never tried to sting at all, and contrary to what I'd heard, its claws could not break a pencil. Dent it up and put some impressive gouges in it, but not actually snap it.
