  • This would be an idiots speech if she did not know the facts. The fact that she does know the facts just makes her a liar.

Acording to this idiot Haiti was a great place to live before the quake and now its going to go bad because of liberalism. How dishonest can you get?

  • Period of Stability? Haiti was very stable before the earthquake, please does anyone actually fucking believe that?

Its the most corrupt country out there and the politicians are bunch of drug dealers.

Anyways the earthquake was on January 12th and no one was "profiting," and if there was someone profiting, the leftists would be all happy about it because they are dumb fucks who believe in the broken window fallacy.

  • Greedy Capitalist are worse than vultures. Vultures wait for dinner to be completely dead, the other don't even bother.

  • 1% of help to the people of Haiti and the rest to power. Business as usual! Profit over people prevails! Nil sub sole novum.

  • This is just one political (for Profit) group bad mouthing another politcal (for profit) group. She is pushing her book and saying we should Give not Loan.. I think it's good for the American people to give, but NOT the Gov, the Government is not a charity it should not decide no matter how bad the disaster that it can take the people's money from they by force (try not paying your taxes) and give it to anyone. I give to charity more than most. My choice, not the gov.

  • ....naomi is super to pinpoint problems....but haiti decided long time ago(200 years) to expel/kill the the franch....and haiti has been a disaster zone for 200 years now....and no matter how much money are spent on haiti....haiti will be a disaster zone for the next 200 years...the real problem is to help the rest of hispaniola not becoming a permanent disaster zone.....

  • I'm starting to hear that Haiti might have a substantial amount of hydrocarbon energy. This might explain why there are so many US soldiers on the ground.

  • It's funny how Naomi badmouths capitalism, while knowingly accepting revenues from her book sales.

She makes good points and is a smart woman, but blaming capitalism is just silly. Her beef should be with corporatism and the state, not capitalism and the market.

There's nothing remotely capitalist about governments strong-arming and stealing land and resources from other nations.

Capitailsm is merely the individuals right to own private property. Haitians need more capitalism, not less.

  • I agree with you. Capitalism, well what it was originally meant for, is not bad at all. But I think we are in times where capitalism has advanced, if you'd like to call it that, to a point where it is synonymous with corporatism. It's a neoliberal world these days. And I wouldn't think it naive to suggest that American incentive in Haiti is not purely a government backed policy; in other words, there's always someone behind the bureaucratic curtains and it usually isn't your elected official.

  • How can a human human even think there is a connection between life, caring and money? Its so wrong.

  • Americans only think about money

  • The Illuminati / NWO Possession the arbitrary power always has the world over, tended irresistibly to destroy humane sensibility, magnanimity, and truth. This is yet another stage that has been set by the Elite. Yet another curtain unfolded before us we must not give up exposing them and the truth anyway we can

  • Go buy the book The Shock Doctrine by Naomi the most interesting read ever.....`disaster capitalism`......

  • and ROLLS

  • Naomi R O C K S

  • USA will take haiti over.

Ship most people away and start a USA GOV time share. YOU THINK I AM KIDDING !

  • @GuildF40 well i hope your fine with strauss khahn from the IMF & the army of ngo's interested in haiti

  • I find it funny, that when you talk to American activists about policies enforced in foreign nations & off-shore abuses, the first thing I hear is, "well, Canada is JUST AS BAD!!" Yeah, Canada does some bad things, but we don't have the World's Largest Military, global surveillance or WHINSEC...

the next thing I hear? is that *foreigners should be more grateful to the "Greatest Nation on Earth" for 'America Leading the Free World'* whatever!

the fact is there are BILLIONS of non-US Americans

  • @ThisCanadian

I am ex American living back in home of birth in the Netherlands.

Generally speaking Americans are the dumbest people on earth. And its not getting any better.

Most of them have never been anywhere and are clueless about the real world.

Yet they keep shouting how ''great'' their country is when in FACT, its way down the list in MANY categories.

I call it Archaic and wouldn't go back for a milloin bucks.

  • @Daruka2010: Most have been "educated" in government schools, and brainwashed by corporate media outlets. They've been told that they have the best country, yet this is another lie foisted upon them. America used to be a nice place, but not since the 50's.

  • "Haiti reform is badly overdue"

Yeah, especially, when the scu, stinking, rotting corpse of the U.S> Feds, overthrew the Democratically elected Aristide- and prevented him from returning.

Aristide was already bringing in reforms to the benefit of Haitians. Of course, this didn't beneift U.S. corps.- which runs the U.S. Congress.

But guess what! THe Corps. are baaaack!

  • Haiti, the 51st State.

  • Haitians trying to get to Florida are sent back.

yet any CUBAN that sets foot on US soil is allowed in.

    Fuck the USA. forever.

  • The fucking Useless States of Americunts is killing innocents with drones in Pakistan.

Its spending 10 bilion a WEEK there.

May the USA rot in hell................fuck you people.

  • Oh, for crying out loud! You know what Haiti has that the US wants or needs? NOTHING! It's a very poor, fourth-world country, stripped bare of its forests, which were long ago turned into charcoal for survival, and an ecological disaster area even before this earthquake. Any aid the US is providing there is purely to help the disaster and poverty-ridden people, who can never do anything for the United States and its people.

  • Cheap labor, fool.

  • Than why does the US intervene in their politics. Why did the US under Bush jr, deport the ONLY democratically elected Haitian president?

Looks like you guys can NEVER mind your business. Busy bodies.

  • @nzingamina Because they don`t want democracy for these Hiatians...they want a despot in that the US can use to keep the people down and then hey.....USA foreign policies all the way.....follow the money...

  • a military base next to cuba

  • US troops in Haiti are a good thing - to stop looting of aid and it's great that they have a good purpose, after all the anti-Islamic fundamentalism agenda.

The British SWP oppose troops, just like in Bosnia, Kosova and East Timor. UN is no longer always agent of US imperialism, as most Trotskyists argue. Remember Indonesian massacre of the population; UN troops achieved independence. Bravo the Australian DSP, now dissolved in the Socialist Alliance for supporting the troops!

  • The reason there is such erosion devestation is from the total/complete deforestation by US lumber companies.

  • Thanks for sharing bulldogger!

  • they create the problem they dictate the solution. all were part of the plan. win win win

  • @superfuzz they just got lucky with the earthquake here

  • Fuckin vultures.

  • Interesting post Mr B.

  • Great post! Thanks.

  • @DrDissent It's as much garbage as what you just posted.

  • ♥

  • I was wondering who would be the first to profit.
