Personally, as a DJ I don't think they're that great. My girl got me a pair like that and I have the buds too. I have skullcandy's and some other headphones for way cheaper than Beats, and they're just as good.

@Billiards8kid Don't get any of them. Beats audio is on par with phones 1/3 of the price. They aren't even necessarily the best looking either.

Full size cans tend to sound better, but are less sensitive than in-ears, which are smaller and more isolating. A good in-ear will isolate far more than any noise-cancelling over-ear headphone. Consider those factors, and make a trip to head-fi org, where they serve everyone, regardless of taste or price point.

@berboi23 After receiving these headphones, go back and return them for the Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro or a Sennheiser HD600/650. Studios gloss over over low-level detail and place undue emphasis on the upper bass, muddying the sound. They are not good headphones for casual(poor value) or professional use (bad value, coloration, durability).

@frickinasshle AKG is my favorite brand for all audio, hands down. I have K-271s, K-240s, and K-181DJs. Awesome sound, but sometimes It's nice to have noise cancelation, and bass that pumps heavy without having to amp them. These are real headphones, you have to see them for what they are. But, overpriced for sure.

But you have to be careful and check the batteries out sometimes cause if they leak that is dangerous, but you will probably immediately notice that. But i admit it's more handy if they don't have batteries!! I understand you could be kind of scared for that cause i wouldn't wanna have that risk. (sorry for my english, i'm dutch). :) bye!

Beats by Dr. Dre is HIGHLY overpriced. They sound borderline decent, not going to lie, but the price is absolutely ridiculous. There are some cheaper headphones like maybe the V-Moda M80/Lp2, Hd25, Beyer Dt1350 ( all at $200 ) that leaves the Beats Studio's AND even the Pro's ($400 dollars is far from reasonable. )

They are HIGHLY overpriced.
