many people say that the a380 has problems, but the 747 had the same kind of problem back in the 60-70s. the a380 fleat wil grow as big as the 747 fleat(maby even bigger). it is just a matter of time and economy. more countrys are groing economys now like china an japan. more people are useing airplanes every year(the nummer went up even in the crisis). a380 is just in his child stage, but will grow up as a very good plane in the near future.

no those are not the best engine, the best and the more powerful jet engine are on the B777-300ER

which are GE90-115B, they are strong enough that one of them can fly a 747!!!!!!! and its HUGE!!

Boeing relied on its laurels with the B744, and 744ER, and they got caught sleeping by airbus. Well good one Airbus.

The B748 is but a panic responce to the A380. Boeing has had the Blended wing design for 10 years+ and the basis to build a full double deck 747 since the first 747 came out of the factory. If the few Americans don't like the A380 then its your own nations fault for not beating airbus in this race. Good on Airbus.

boeing doesn't want to have a fat ass plane. airbus only built this because a340 was a failure. now people are looking for nonstop international flights not 2-3 hub changes. also the 747-8 has more profit per passenger mile than the fat ass plane.

I don't agree - the A340 has been designed from scratch. Look at the wings and the tail and compare them to the A340, it's far from that! The B787 however uses more innovative materials so in that respect the 787 seems to have an advantage. But it will all come down to the fact whether airlines want an aircraft with a very large capacity or whether they prefer more smaller ones. The success of the 747 would suggest the former.
