Tubby was good, but not great. At Kentucky you have to be a great coach to succeed. Tubby knew what job he was taking when he first got there and the expectation...it was his job to win national titles, not just get teams to elite eights.

Tubby was a good on the court coach...and he wasnt a bad recruiter until his final few years there. Young kids didnt want to play "Tubby Ball" anymore. These kids want to score not play defense.
