    Kundenrezensionen:

  • Lack of optical viewfinder was a deal breaker for me, I went for the Canon G12 :)

  • @richandiben The optical viewfinder on the G12 is next to useless. I have seen it and tried it and the LX5 was the winner for me

  • Comment removed

  • @kurai6 Not only more zoom & moved buttons on the LX5. Better grip vs. the LX3 & NO grip on Canon S95. BEST customizable manual to full auto 720p video on any compact fixed lens p&s, choice of mpeg or AVCHD-lite, LX3=10 min. 720p clip length limit, mpeg only @ 24fps vs. LX5 30fps unlimited clip size. LX5=Better battery. Shutter speed range: LX3=1/2000 vs.1/4000 fastest, & 4.16 minutes max vs. LX3's 1 min. maximum. LX5=more ISO range 6.4K & 12.8K. MUCH better OIS. LX5 has a port for VF's, LX3=no

  • @kurai6 The 4.16 minute longest shutter speed quoted in previous post for the LX5 will be achieved via an as yet unreleased firmware update to the LX5. Its published release date for d/l'ing is Sept. 13, 2011. The press release for the firmware update also states that it will improve WB settings. NR @ both iso 1600 & 3200, as well as the I.S. in video mode will improve. A Miniaturization My Color mode setting will be added, to enable fake "tilt-shift" effects in photo and video.

  • superb reviews dude

  • This guy really is the best YouTube camera reviewer out there. Instead of fumbling his way through each product, it's always clear at the outset that he has FIRST studied each product before he brings them to air. What's more, this quite in-depth knowledge then enables him to do informative comparisons with competing cameras within a class.

No one wants their time wasted. And that's why it's always a pleasure to listen to these well-prepared reviews. The LX5 will be my next camera.

  • yo, if yall are interested in 1080p quality photographs i made with the lx5? check my channel for the vid

  • @lifeartpixels Your "1080p quality photographs" (whatever you take that to mean, I haven't a clue, the highest native VIDEO quality that the LX5's currently capable of is 720p), are either decent, post-processed manipulations using lots of 3rd party software not currently sold w/ the camera package that may *mimic* 1080p quality, but isn't, & perhaps the camera you're using has been somehow "hacked" i.e Canons using CDHK. Your tags for them are, shall we say, "unique". Good post processing job.

  • @bohnstube well, it says 'Photographs', and the photographs of this camera are even bigger than 1920x1080 :) i just compiled a of some of my shots, and rendered it 1080p video

  • @lifeartpixels Nice try.

  • @bohnstube thanks, appreciate it

  • I have bought this camera two months ago, I'm not professional but I wanted a camera good without being great, I really like, but as active Nosé flash the smart way ... someone could help me please, many gracias.espero their Answers

  • Very nice review, I'm on the fence as to what model to purchase and this didn't help me that much but the LX-5 is a top contender. Thanks so much for the great video, very well done. Cheers from Sunny Florida...

  • Very nice review. Thanks.

  • I'm stuck deciding between two different panasonic lumix camera.. the zs7 and this one, the lx5. which one do you recommend? I like this one because of its design and where the flash is located, and the zs7 just seems like its clunky and large

  • Which is better? The Sony HX100v or the LX5?

  • @NgocLanMusique LX5 is a compact that has a 1/1.63 inch sensor (big for a compact) and the hx100v has a 1/2.33 inch sensor(small and common) so the bigger the better for low light situations and the LX5 has manual features on everythings its like your own swiss army knife compared to a electronic one idk lol

  • This video seems to be more about him than about the camera.

  • The best online camera reviewer ever. Very serious, very intelligent and very thorough.

  • @Meshwork123 LOL already seen digitalrev tv?

i think kai's video are better: because of the intro, the recording, their interativ hands one...

anyway go watch digitalrev tv to compare.

  • @gedoumazoutsuki WTF?!! A very few (not all nor little) reviews by Kai DON'T SAY ANYTHING!!! He spends the time making unfunny jokes and his reviews are way too loose, not to the point and hard to go through. Besides, he complains too much, rarely you will hear the guy saying a camera is great

  • I am confused. am more of a ¨Point & shoot in AF mode¨ person. I am coming from a Mini DV Digital tape video camera. I am getting LOST in the video formating. Will this camera let me choose between HD and SD in video mode? I ask because the new full HD cameras require a monster processor in your computer to play, edit and copy your video to DVD. Plus, in HD, you need a blue ray to transfer your video and in SD you can use a regular DVD disc and player. Correct? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP

  • @DFD737 Yup, you can shoot in SD.

  • So it af while recording? (:

  • I have been trying to choose between S95 and LX5 for a careless companion for traveling. I want to take good photos in every situation, carry it around in my pocket and to be able to shoot decent video on the spot. Which one would you recommend for me? And which one of them performs better in low-light situations?

  • As I'm italian is it possible to change the language to italian?

  • Does this camera have Manual focus in video shoot mode?

I want a compact pocket, quick grab camera for band tour video blogs with some artsy out of focus to in focus shots. I want a compact camera but am starting to consider that i may need to get a proper video camera. Your thoughts?

  • just how hard is it to shoot in bright light with the viewfinder... I'm deploying to Iraq in a few months and I'm torn between this and the Canon G12. I really want the LX5 but you don't need to be there to know it's bright as hell in Iraq and I'll be in direct sunlight most of the time... I'm not sure if the EVF for the lx5 is a great alternative either because it adds bulks and makes it inconvenient... what do you think?

  • @juj1n I have no experience of shooting in those kind of harsh conditions. I have handled the p7000 and it seems very solid, although the zoom lense is going to quite vulnerable. p7000 has a neutral density filter built in which will help you in very bright situations.

  • @juj1n If you are going to a war zone, then you're going to want to take a tank with you. Canon G12 it is then!

  • @juj1n In bright light, with the sun behind you, you won't be able to look at the screen that well... so go with a camera with an optical viewfinder. I'd get the Canon G12.

  • Thumbs up just for the mc hammer reference

  • If you had to choose, based on video quality which is better: the canon G12 or the lx5?

  • This looks like the perfect camera except for the lack of a view finder, which is a must for me. You can buy an attachment viewfinder for close to $150, unacceptable!

  • STOP ... HAMMER TIME!!!!!

  • which camera should i pick this one or the canon g12?

  • LX5 actually uses a different sensor than LX3.

  • Watched this review and the one you did on the Oly zx-1 so I could compare them against each other; needless to say that I fancy both, but need to choose one. My only concern is still image quality and all things related to it, so that being the case which would be the winner between the two? Would it be a clear winner? Thanks!

  • I would pick LX5 if you had a DSLR.

  • I can't decide between the s95 or lx5. How pocketable is the lx5? I think I need to see in the flesh, especially with a case I don't think the lx5 will fit snug in a pocket.

  • pumpkin looks like it's having a good time there...

  • I'm torn between buying the digital camera panasonic dmc lumic LX5 and Canon PowerShot S95.. Can you help? thanks

  • I think this camera is best compact camera in the World

  • Hear the sound when you put down the P7000 @ 0:46

Sounds like a solid brick, like closing the door of a Mercedes :p

  • love the reviews, Why dont you review the fz100? Can you tell me what is better the lx5 or the fz100 concerning the video features? The lx5 has the larg sensor and video is only 720 but the Fz100 has 1080p with the cmos sensor. Is this apples and oranges or oranges and tangerines. You say the lx5's video doesent get any better well the fx 100 is 1960p.infosync me please.

  • could somebody translate it into spanish PLEASEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey, im having a really hard time deciding between the canon G12 and the LX5. Can you give me some advise on which one is better?

  • hey guys, was considering between lx5 and sony wx5? which model do u think is better? i mean both has pros & cons. lx5 caters to more enthusiasts n interested camera lovers. but sony wx5 has better video reso, higher MP, and quicker burst modes but lacks aperture & shutter priority which i think caters more to those "point n shoot" people. still, i would love to get opinions. thanks!

  • Hi, I would like to ask for your opinion if which is better? Is it the Canon PowerShot G11 or Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5? I haven't been in to any photography thing but if I'll get a chance, i would like to take shots of the nature. Hoping for your reply. THanks!

    Anne

  • I think many of the complaints I've read in various product reviews on the LX5 could be resolved with a firmware update from Panasonic. For instance, to improve in-camera jpg processing.

  • GODDAMN THE CAMERA FEATURES ARE REALLY GOOD! TOO BAD IT"S FUCKING UGLY! I just wish it has the look of Canon Powershot S95!

  • DOES THE S95 HAVE SOFT SKIN MODE LIKE THE LX5?

  • Would you recommend Panasonic LX5 or Nikon P7000 over Panasonic Lumix FZ100 considering image quality as well as video quality? Overall, which camera is the best for less than 500 USD?

  • If I video record using LX-5, what is the maximum zoom available while recording?

  • Hey, please review Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 also.

  • next August I am going on some independent travelling and would like to know which compact camera you would reccomend between the Lumix LX3, LX5, the Canon G12 or S95. I have been brooding over this for a while now, any help welcome! thanks!

  • I just returned the Canon S95 due to the short battery life. How does the LX5's battery life compare to the S95?

  • this beauty'll surely go down in history as the greatest camera ever created. i mean, with the right amount of effort the possibilities are borderline limitless.

  • A superb video review, the best I have seen on the LX range of Lumix cameras. I have the LX3 and it's been a wonderful camera. I even use it more than my Canon 5D2 DSLR.

When I was in the store, the only thing that I didn't like about the LX5 over the LX3 is that the plastic screen over the LCD is softer, in that you can see the liquid display move when applying pressure.

I won't be buying the LX5 given that I own the LX3 - however, I'll try and talk my wife into buying it so I can use it.

  • lx5 or s95?

  • hey infosyncvideos....am stuck between the pan lx5 and canon s95....i want a camera that takes great pics and videos but u can also fit it in ya pocket..can the lx5 fit in ya pocket...

  • hey infosyncvideos..so you are saying that the lx5 is better in video recording than the canon s95..but picture quality is the same..

  • @machoBaller213 Picture quality on the S95 is about equivalent to the G12, which is a better low light performer than the LX5 by a hair. If you're between the S95 and LX5, we'd go with the LX5. It is packed with features and great image quality with a superior video mode.

  • hey infosyncvideos...how does the lx5 compare to the canon s95..which camera is better in image quality and video..is it the lx5 or the canon s95 or is it similar..

  • @machoBaller213 The LX5 is superior, thanks to its HD video options and quality. Still image they are very close, but the LX5 has a little trouble at high ISO ranges. It's negligible if you're a good shooter and use other tactics to lower the ISO like manipulating the shutter speed and aperture.

  • You said the G12 and P7000 have better high ISO performance that the LX5 but the LX5's lens does have a one stop speed advantage over those cameras. That means when the G12 is shooting at f2.8 1/30th at 1600 ISO the LX5 can shoot at f2.0 1/30th at 800 ISO. All things being equal that makes the LX5 a better low light camera.

  • @cosmok Yeah, but you don't get the same depth of field as you do with the f/2.8. It's all relative. One stop is one stop. We tested in similar lighting conditions at identical ISO levels with the same aperture on each camera. Either you sacrifice the aperture to bring the ISO down, or you boost the ISO.

I know what you're saying regarding the fact that the LX5's aperture is brighter, but a 2.0 vs. a 2.8 is a drop in the bucket.

  • @infosyncvideos 2.0 vs 2.8 represents a doubling in the amount of light the lens lets in! This is not a drop in the bucket and a huge advantage the LX5 has over the competition!

Sure, the DoF is smaller, but it's not like the sensor size is full frame 35mm or anything.. It's a high gain in light with a moderate reduction in DoF...

  • i liked the mc hammer joke. really like the reviews

  • Mike is hot

  • hi infosync, nice video can you review the nikon d3100?

    thanks

  • how did you do that to the pumpkin?! haha is it like dull paint

  • damn you're smart. I learn a lot from your vids. keep 'em coming.

  • too bad.. i already love my canon s95
