One Hit Wonders have often been the fault of record companies dropping the ball or trying to fix what isn't broken. It is not always the fault of the musicians. I had both of the Sandford & Townsend lps and loved their music. It was intelligent southern rock.

By the way, the singer is John Townsend and the keyboardist is Ed Sanford. That is Otis Hale wailing on the sax. They made great music.

I beg to differ about Sanford & Townsend. They might have been something of a one hit wonder, but this is a bloody good song, and a great live performance of it. They absolutely nailed it, if you watch the complete version posted on Youtube.

In any case, what's the big issue you have with this band? Back in the 70's there might have been lots of better bands, but compared to today's crap, this song and this band look like legends!!

She had 9 number one hits, a star on the Walk of Fame, Grammy Award, American Music Awards etc. She was famous for hits like "I Am Woman", "Delta Dawn", "I Don't Know How to Love Him" and "Angie Baby" to name just a few!
