Thanks for your reply Veeliscious you must have a deep understanding of animals!
Im very familiar with alexandra lowens work and have read his books, also barbera ann brennan who has taken his work a step further showing the energetic defences showing up in a person auric field. But havent read anything about animals.
Not convinced about the animals displaying character structures but interesting!
They allow there children to express all emotions, fits, rages, crying etc and dont start to correct this until they reach a certain age,5 or 7.not sure the age.
I find this very interesting and i can definatly understand how we are not expressing how we really feel alot of the time, especially when were children and its seen as naughty to express anything thats dissaproved of,like anger towards are parent which is overpowered, expressing needs that arent met, crying which is results in a smacks.
How does this work with animals? Are animals always connected and expressing there core self,s or only in the wild? What about pets like dogs?Does training there behavior distort them expressing there natural self effect there health and shorten there life span,do wild dogs live longer lives as they can only express there core?Or does this not apply to animals as they cant create a masked personatly, although they can change there behavior as a response to there enviroment.
@billthespac Absolutely it happens to animals, and they develop protective masks which show physically, emotionally & in consequent dis-eases. Eg, a cat who suffered abandonment will display the "oral character structure" (also search Dr Lowen) - nothing is enough - they want more food, will be clingy, dependent, demanding for attn. Their eyes will be big and sad (think the cat in Shrek), will get fat & likely suffer back & respiratory problems & rare illnesses that will get the most attn.
@billthespac Animals also often either mirror, or are projected onto by their human guardian's issues (eg an "oral character structure human" with abandonment issues will likely overfeed, over-mother and get mileage/pleasure from their pet's dependence & neediness etc. However, the animal's core qualities are they are loyal, intelligent & great fetchers & playful (nothing negative) and these are its true self once the issues are healed & chakras balanced - and the mask falls away.
