you are right about the distinction of styles between cajun and zydeco but u are forgetting that geno isnt really a zydeco musician, he's a black cajun musician that plays cajun music and every now and then adds a zydeco feel.
@yashescooll No, Geno is actually a Creole accordion player. There are no black Cajuns. It isn't a rascist thing. Cajuns, by definition are white French speaking people exiled from Acadie. While Cajun and Creole music is essentially the same, they do have a slightly different feel. This song, however, is in the style of Zydeco, and is even titled as such. There are no Cajun songs with this feel, or approach to playing. Nice job on your version, BTW.
Nice tune...I've heard it before, but never played it. I like the vocals with the playing, as it makes the tune work.
