Boat speed helps, but most of the top guys just sling it through. the less time spent gybing/tacking, the less time at risk of falling over. And after your first 20 knot pitchpole the fear seems to vanish ;-)

I think that two years with the British Gymnastic squad should be a pre requisite for sailing one of these!
