Leave analog alone and go for DAB+ like whats used here in Australia, Digital is best to have its own band, then if all the stations progressively move to Digital, then Medium wave could be reconsidered for Digital, but digital only, with advantages of long distance propagation and multiplexing, which in some ways is difficult in large countries because long distance services what AM serves would be lost in the transistion

@Cringle84 DAB is above the FM band, but it is FM, and DAB is the way for digital to go.

I've heard this in Northern Delaware. Listening to WFAN 660 with a nice hiss from the iBlock from 640. And I'm sure it works the other way with 660 cutting into reception of 640's digital carriers. Ha ha Huge Disaster radio from iBlock will be history soon. :-P
