I'm sorry but this shit they are putting out now is nothing but glorified pop music. real country music ended the day George Strait and Alan Jackson sold out!
I can remember mom frying up some kick ass chicken and singing this song when I was a young lad back in the late 60's .........Great memories Dwight, thanks.
I've been singing this song so long that when I started singing it I sang hulla palla lunga. Yep could barely talk but loved this song. Now one of my all time fav artist doing it!!
@CatboxDesign Yes, there is just something about talented people. I make recordings and work with it, and sometime its hard for my eyes to not well-up. When i was younger, I always wondered about what made recordings. He could play a 2 dollar guitar and still make a number 1 hit. These people just ARE, and the just BE.
@kscot1950t ~ Dwight is NOT retired! Not only has he been touring all these years (including now), but he has re-signed with Warner & will begin a WORLD tour next year! :)
Very interesting! You can see that evrything is in place ,that band is working real hard the only thing missing is the opportunity to make a deal with a music company that will make lots of money with them probly... let's hope the deal was not a long term contract...
One could swear thats old hank sr standing there, it's uncanny. Dwight is my hero, idol and number one influence if it werent for him I wouldn't have kept at practicing singing. I can't wait to see him here in Arizona in may it will be an opertunity of a life time for me.
i love dwight i love to listen to his music while i am cleaning house just like my mama use to do i love some good ole honky tonk music !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there any one with more "country-cool" than Dwight? No, IMHO. And, is that an old echo-plex, or some tape-based echo unit sitting on top of that guitar amp? Cute!
@loslonelyboybill ----- eat me....you know nothing about guitar players or why Dwight picked him for his VERY FIRST guitar player. He gave Dwight the sound he has today. so....EAT ME.
Yep, Debdo24x7.... Great idea........LQQKS Like We Have Sumpin In Common......I Hate The Musoc Scene Out Here In Washington State, I Moved Out Here In In feb Of 08 Got Married, Transferred My Job, But My Thing Is My Music,,, I Miss Cleveland, Even Tho Its The Rock & Roll Capital, Theres Some Great REAL Country Bars To Play Music In. And To HONKY TONK........
The only bars playin' country in Seattle are either the Tractor Tavern in Ballard or Jules Maes Saloon in Georgetown. As someone who has worked in a lot of music venues as security in Seattle I heartily agree with you. The music scene sucks here in Seattle!
He Has The GRACE & LOOK Of Hank SR. And The Sounds Of BUCK OWENS, Why Did He Have To Change As He Is Now ?............You Dont Break What Works !!!......
Thats why if you get in my truck you hear old rock and roll, can't find any good country. Got stations for 50/60s---70s/80s and the newer sstuff on Rock nothing but a lot of talk amd supposedly country that sound like rap and can't be danced to. We need to take our kids out tonking and dancing instead of shopping for high dollar status symbol clothes We sisn't stab and shoot each other at the dance halls in the 60's 70's
KEXP 90.3FM has two decent country shows,Swingin' Doors on Thursdays from6-9:00PM and my fave with Leon Burman as the DJ on Fridays Shake the Shack from 6-9:00PM. otherwise the so-called "Country " stations here play that crap that sounds like the bad pop crap from the '70s.

Of late, I've been falling in love with his music all over again. I was George Strait & Garth Brooks fan. What was wrong withme???

@Rebecca649 Nothing wrong with the George Strait part, but I don't know anybody ever liked that phony
Garth (Chris Gaines) Brooks.

@VA24541 Not a big fan of the preppy George Strait. I like my country stars with more edge like Waylon, Marty and Johnny.

Great! when is this from? Dwight seems so young and by the sound of the audience it seems like a fairly small venue.
