1) Probably the best acapella group I've heard.

not that you guys need any criticism, but if i were to make a comment, it would be that you guys should really keep the "ah" in the background of the third measure of the choruses. I don't really understand why you change to "ooh", but you lose all momentum.

@sizzlecofizzle aweeeesome critique, I love hearing stuff like this! Thank you! The "ooh" was an arrangement decision to let the 4th and 8th bar of the chorus grow and be spotlighted. You are very right tho, we noticed after watching and listening back that the "ooh" lost momentum and volume, so at the beginning of this year we changed it to "ohh" and it works a lot better. Thanks again for your input, you were totally right ;)

I love the switch to "ooh" - I think it shows a lot of musical skill and maturity! The "ah" works in bars 1 + 2 because the chord is moving up a step and you are building momentum as you get to the climax of the chorus at the end of bar 2, but from there trying to get brighter or louder would sound silly - you can't just build momentum forever! Instead, you drop down to this dark but super intense "ooh" which gives you somewhere to build from in bar 4.

Everything about this video just screams professionalism. The lead has a wonderful timbre and soulful sound, the percussionist isn't over-the-top and accents the entire performance without trying to make it his show. The group follows a great lead and balances well sound-wise and has nice coreography/blocking. As an a cappella nerd, I am a HUGE fan of this vid. Well done all!
