@dickin585 Very charming. Plummer & Bennett have clearly illustrated or let Golf Digest illustrate a tilt towards the target. Keep tilting to the left at setup friend and I'll show you every compensatory move required to hit the ball effectively.
You can get away with a slight bend (tilt as you say) of the C & T spine towards the ball viewed from the coronal plane but you'll never be great doing so with a left tilted spine at address. Not happening period!! Cheers.
@dickin585 Now you have none of it right. Even if you tilt to the left at address( don't ask me why anyone would unless they're on a downhill lie) and then turn.... your shoulder plane as viewed from the coronal plane will not point at the ball. If it does now you're really in trouble. The shoulder plane should still remain outside the ball (or target line if you will).
Oh and yes you will be tilted to the target if you swing this way. Come-on man you can do better than that.
@hogansking Great vid, if you want to stay centered you have to tilt to the left, while you rotate your shoulders, and stand up. These three moves will allow your three centers (waist, chest, head) to stay "stacked" over your center (in this swing it is behind the ball). If you didn't have tilt to the left your head would go behind the ball. A lot of people think SandT promotes leaning way towards the target but the idea is that you tilt to the left to stay centered over the ball.
i dont get why it would be stack and tilt when u have to get to ur left foot no matter what and Zacs swing looks that way because hes keeping his weight inside of his right leg letting the hip turn back not sideways
Are u sure his spine tilts at the top. You're looking at two different positions from one static angle. The white line actually matches the red except that zacks torso is rotated 90 degrees.
Great video...do you know if Zach is a right eye dominant golfer? I'm studying PGA tour pros who are right handed and right eye dominant to see what their natural ball flight is. Do you know any other right eye dominant PGA tour pros? I'm a right handed golfer and right eye dominant and tend to pull a lot of my shots.
Great video...do you know if Zach is a right eye dominant player? I'm trying to study PGA tour pros who are right handed and right eye dominant to see what their natural ball flight is. I'm a right handed golfer and right eye dominant and most of my bad misses are pulls to the left.
i play with a strong grip and a one plane golfer like zack. his face is not shut on back swing as jim hardy would say is is parrlare to his spine angle just as in his follow through. thats why he smashes and draws the ball. its a good way to swing but you body turn has to be above average...
Strong Grip...his clubface remains a little shut during backswing and at top...face is slightly closed relative to his good swing path (inside out back to inside)at impact. Compare his clubface position post impact to Tiger's (who hits a fade) in my Major Winners video and you'll see the difference. Although Zach may draw the ball his flight is still relatively straight.
yeah it can be for a lot of people. If it is for you... ask a physio therapist or trainer to see how you can improve your glute strength but more so your left hip internal rotation (right handed golfer). Sometimes its not simply about improper technique but one's physical limitations in the ability to perform it... in which they and many golf instructors are not even aware of. Thnx for watching.
thx, helped me!

Looks like a Hogan swing. Wow! Thanks for taking the time to do this analysis.

I dont think ZJ is S&T at all. Just not much lateral movement. Centered pivot. That is why he is there day in day out - very consistent.

In stack and tilt you don't tilt towards the target, fucktard. You tilt to the left, but as you turn your shoulders, you tilt towards the ball.

@hogansking Take your golf stance, tilt to the left and then turn your shoulders. Now ask yourself if you are tilting towards the target or the ball.

The "tilt" in "Stack and Tilt" is not a tilt towards the target. It's a tilt towards the ball (left side tilt rotated 90 degrees for a righty).

100% agree especially through impact.

@pgabound13 club face determines initial launch, swing path determines spin on ball.

you will see some players have leftward lean at the top. fred couples and colin montgomerie have it. but they do have really bad backs

I see that. thanks.

good video. getting that hip shift 7 turn is the hardest thing.

if zach holds onto for so long then why does he play a draw??
