1 guy, 40 big panes inside only, newcon, plus frames... I'd say all day plus. Guessing around 10 to twelve man hours using conventional methods. If you are required to do a lot of steel wooling. Get a small electric drill 4500rpm and a 7 inch buffing disc and replace the chuck with the disc. Add a 4 ott white pad and some sticky backed velco to the disc, some Motsenbockers Lift-Off in the red bottle, blue surgical or microfiber towels and you can do a completely waterless window.

Ask him to show you how it's done in an hour? Sure most any ground level pane can be cleaning in about a minute. But new construction... Your boss is either smokin' crack or underbid the job. I'm guessing the latter since they all underbid jobs just to get 'em. Rich folk do not like to see a guy rush threw their home. If you do a really good job and are honest with the client; i've had clients tip more than the job was worth. If your boss is hurting the industry and you have the skills. Compete.
