The steps taken to transfer files to my Motorola V750 were almost identical. However, on my phone there is no "ringtones" folder. There is a "my_ringers" folder in a different location. Here is the path: "p2k:/a/brew/mod/my_ringers" Thanks for your helpful video.

When I click on the p2k /a selection in p2k commander the program finds an error and shuts down, in vista and in xp. any suggestions? also, my phone isn't listed when i select my wireless provider before downloading the motorola update, any ideas? could this be why i'm getting the error in p2k?

i dont think anyone has verified it on windows 7 yet. try the vista drivers they have a 50% chance of qorking id say, and make sure you run the install of them as administrator

well i would say, get the file off of you voice recorder, and convert it to mp3 then follow the same process in the video should work fine. as long as its mp3 if you can plug your voice recorder into your computer to get the file off then i dont know

Hey, on mine it doesn't have a folder called ringtone... all my ringtones seem to be located in audio

you might have a different version k1m i dont know but other people have said the same thing and put the ringtones int he audio folder, try it out

Or you could get Motorola Phone Tools 5.0.5 and get the USB 2.0 to MicorUSB Data cable online with a prepaid credit card.

try a different version of p2k if you didnt use the version i stated in the vif then it might not work i was having the same problem as you with the newer versions

doesnt matter what carrier you have, your putting the tones on your phone its a physical transfer has nothing to do with your carrier

it worked perfectally however when you go to motorola>shared>ringtone the folder for ringtone wasnt there so i had to put it in the folder Audio, but it still worked and you are awesome!

btw after doing this ringtone thing for quite a while I found out you can load java games into the phone in the brew/mod/jped/ you have to make a preinstal folder and then have a games folder made as well but I have had one tetris game unlike my providers version. it would not alow me to hit ok. mabe a little practice will get me to the games option too.

I have motorola phone tools that came with my phone. my motorola software update came with the disc too. well my phone tools says there is a ringtone folder but I cannot see anything in it as telus canada has it blocked I guess. please help in giving me advice as to why my ringtones folder does not show up in

other people have had the same problem and they used the audio folder. it might be a different version of the krzr idk. try going to control panel>folder options>then look for "view hidden files and folders" make sure thats checked. if it still wont show just try the audio folder

if you put too many on there at too long of a time it will not play some of them as you have used up all of the phones memory and it will void whatever wont fit

Version 5.1.0 I've found the most success with (their latest version of p2k commander) yet that message that I just quoted above always comes up whenever I click on "/a p2k phone system"

I have EVERY update that Motorola can offer, I've updated the shit outta my motokrzr k1 yet it's still now working. I'm With Fido, live in Canada Ontario. Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated.

only thing i can recomend is using the same version of p2k that i used i meantion it in the vid. forget what it is its been so long and i now have a motoQ so i dont mess with the krzr anymore

for pix i used a micro sd never tried any other way. they are relatively cheap now i think i paid 14$ for a 2GB micro sd you should go pick one up :D

as long as the firmware is put back to normal i see no reason why they would void your warranty. just use the same program to delete the ringtones. i did multiple mods on mine and just removed them when i brought it to verizon and they replaced it twice. no the phone didnt break bc of what i did. just incase your wondering

Thanks for the tutorial!!!  I was able yo upload my mp3 ringtone with minimal deviation for your instructions. My K1 must have a different file structure from yours since mine did not have a database and I had to mount the c partition instead of a but regardless that was cool! I was also able to remove those crappy gifs they don't allow you to delete from phone memory ! Awesome

And there you will be able to download the update system. As well as for the P2K Commander. I would recommend picking the same version as he did. Which would be the P2K Commander 3.2.2. This does work. Atleast for me it did and hope it does for anyone who tries. Thanks rjdude22

there should be a ringtone folder in your file system somewhere, make sure you give it a good look through b4 changing any steps, are you doing it with a k1m or....ill try to help but i need to know what phone and what OS your using

should be the same, im pretty sure they use the same file system the hex might be different between manufacturers however you should still be able to do this if not ill post a hex edit on the phone later on, have to find the programs again my pc needed a reformat and i lost all my stuff :(

i have found that p2k doesnt work too well, for me as well, if you follow the links in the discription it has older versions that DID work for me, and i think in the video i meantioned which on i used

you can export as mp3 however when i do it it tells me i have to download some add-on and then doesnt allow me to so i just export as wav if u can do mp3 with no problems go for it

Oh just google Audacity go to their website and download the LAME Mp3 driver (that's its actual name lol). Real small download. Unpack it to your Audacity folder and when you go to export as MP3 it will ask you to locate the LAME driver for it, do that once and you're set to go.

ok what i believe ur asking is when u set certain ringers to certain people why they return to default after you put more ringtones on ur phone? maybe i dnt know but the database rebuild to its default everytime you do this process and it will remove whatever tones u have set for certain people its a hastle to reset them to what you had but tell me its not worth it
