  • were did you get the prop and the chute

  • @Hogasofa The prop is from Xoar International (PJD-P 34"x10") and the glider (chute) I got from FlyBubble in the UK.

  • Enjoyed the video man. BTW what is the thrust of the GX200 without tuning?

  • @leviterande Hello, The net horsepower of a gx200 engine is around 5hp and so with a 34" - 36" sized prop, I would estimate no more than 20-22kg thrust at around 3500rpm. Simple modifications such as improving the breathing (free-flow air filter and exhaust) and re-jetting the carburettor accordingly should get thrust up to about 30kg.

  • @lookupparagliding Hi and thanx for the reply: you said "Simple modifications such as improving the breathing (free-flow air filter and exhaust) and re-jetting the carburettor accordingly" Is there any tutorial on just this modification?

Concerning the airfilter and exhaust it is just installing them , right?

  • @leviterande You can order a filter and adaptor from AffordableGoKarts and it's easy to fit. Also you can order an RLV exhaust and silencer. The RLV type is bent in such a way so as not to interfere with the prop circle. Drilling the stock jet out to 0.85mm - 0.9mm will give you the required increase in fuel flow to complement the improved breathing. Is 30kg thrust adequate for your application? Have you been on the Eggmotor web site?

  • @lookupparagliding Thanx for the info and yes I have been , however I had a hard time to orientate myself there.. I tried to find out How to attach the prop to the shaft? Any tips?

  • @leviterande On the Eggmotor site I mention about a kart hub and have an associated link and also a non-scale diagram of the bolt pattern requirement for drilling the prop. You can email directly at eggmotor@yahoo.co.uk for more info.

    :o)

  • nice one chaps!!

  • brilliant!

  • Ha Ha! I bought one of the 8 original dvds! One day will be a major collectable!

Happy new year guys, a whole year of development ahead, eh? Best Tom

  • @weirwolfarroo Yes, keep hold of your copy. It'll make headline news in 20 years time when you bung it on ebay for £20000 lol.

Happy New Year to you too.

Should get more flying and less developing this year :o)

  • Thanks for taking the time to upload this. Enjoyed watching it.

  • Hey there, you know if you would mount the power plant to a wagon for testing. You then could hook up a thrust gauge to it.

  • @dagwodzz Hi Darrell, we could probably hook it up to the Monster's quad unit. The last thrust test was an 'on the back' reading using bathroom scales.

    Cheers,

    Rob
