I've been doing this for ages...

It depends on what level of blockage the admin has instructed on non-administrative acounts. some allow you to do what you have, but others will block the executable in whole.

1. If you are not local admin on your pc and its not something you got from work ->Just get your self an admin account?

2. If its locked from work or such, just explain why you need the software (some good reason exept from.."just need it" then you most likely will get it if there are no policys.

Or even more simple, if its a pc from work then get your own?

Cant see any reason to not be admin on your own computer :)

@5thkie1 mate the only problem with that is half of these people are twelve and are trying to download stuff without their parents knowing so i think there parents would notice if the password changed but people i have try to hack my mum computer for ages and the only way to is (for me at least is) get them to log you to their account the admin one then make a hidden account witch is far more practial that these :D

this only works for xp not seven and programs like bit torent dont need to be installer to run finaly on vista or seven it will ank for the admin user name and password befor you start up the installer. better luck next time.
