However I would recommend not writting off an entire genre just because you don't like what you've heard so far, espeically since you clearly like orchestral music which is pretty losely related. Give the top 100 a try, even if you don't listen to it all. It's just short clips anyway and not entire songs so you're not looking at losing hours of your life or anything.

I use this music to get around the house since I have major nerve damage from a spinal injury. (at least I can walk...) That and I mentally add the voice of Duke Nukem' saying the things that he usually says. The visuals of a handful of soldiers standing up to a superior force helps as well.
