@veronesedissident First of all, Trotsky wasnt in Russia during revolution. he only could come back to Russia after revolution. Second of all, Stalin and Trotsky were arch enemies. 4 or 5 y. after Lenins death, Trotsky had to leave Russia. In any case Trotsky was gone before 1930.

Why is she asking a Fed Chairman about cronyism ? its a bit of a non sequitor. Her facts mean anything they don't give you how many government contracts or how much of the 16 trillion economy is corrupt.

You clearly haven't listened to the whole set. There are 3 videos prior to this. In #2 she asks about a specific issue described in Vanity Fair that's subject to current federal investigations: the missing $9 bn shipped from the NY branch to the Green Zone and some of which ended up in the Bahamas. Apparently sometimes no accountants were escorting the shipments as required by law.

Well but lets remember Democracy Now still relies on corporate funding. So it is not as "independent" as claims to be.

I find it very ironic that they reject public funding from PBS in order to remain independent. But has no issues receiving money from the largest corporations in the world Ford Motor Company or money from big oil the Rockefeller foundation. But then they push for a greater involvement for the role of the state.
