She wore blue velvet Bluer than velvet was the night Softer than satin was the light From the stars She wore blue velvet Bluer than velvet were her eyes Warmer than May her tender sighs Love was ours Ours a love I held tightly Feeling the rapture grow Like a flame burning brightly But when she left, gone was the glow of Blue velvet But in my heart there'll always be Precious and warm, a memory Through the years And I still can see blue velvet Through my tears
Wow, I just noticed the change of wardrobe and disappearance of the background musicians (except the pianist). Shows how observant I am. Guess that means I need to watch it all again.
@theXNtric It´s so because she´s playing a whole concert-but in the film it would take too long and it would be boring. So Lynch decided to change the dress. You know in reality many stars do this, too.

Really nice and deep film. Kyle MacLachlan, Laura Dern, Isabella Rossellini and Dennis Hopper showed brilliant acting. The ending was just awesome. I miss the 80's and 90's - best era in cinematography

Before I knew they were mother/daughter, I'd watched Blue Velvet and thought, "did that girl from Casablanca travel to the future?" Guess the answer is: almost.
Isn't it strange, her speaking voice is a zillion times more beautiful than the normal speaking voice, but the singing voice is like a surreal unidentified nothing. In terms of beauty and charisma she is on her own, that's for sure. She is the real deal.
Amazing my second favourite scene in that movie...my fave being the end when thefire truck rolls by...then she sings the last line again.so sad and surreal

I feel like this scene was as much about Laura Dern's character as Isabella's. Both are incredibly beautiful...

Isabella is so hot , singing in that black dress :-P Laura Dern looks awkward , lol.

It's almos disturbing the way Isabella Rosselini looks like Ingrid Bergman.
I know she is her daughter, but geez!
Never thought that it was possible to be two beings of so much beauty in this world<3

@dandydiamond This is a sublime beauty, but not that rare : look at Nastassa Kinsky : in her young days she looked pretty much like Ingrid Bergman.

@dandydiamond I personally find Bergman to be much prettier but they both are great actresses. Her acting here is superb!
