@InterRail01 America doesn't even have high speed trains. :P (unless you count the Acela Express, which doesn't run on dedicated high-speed rail infrastructure...)
@CETomlin And it's only $24 for a hundred miles ride (50 minutes only).........It costs me $40 to go from Seattle to Portland by amtrak, which is about 140 miles (210 minutes!!)
i think it would bring alot to texas having a builett train in the state of one from san antonieo to dallas and houston austin . lubbok also the jobs it would create for union and citizeans hopeful an idea like this would ever get done right the first time 289mph can cover alot of ground and vs a car or truck would take a week shopping and prices would improve i would pay 60dollars for a trip to dallas from austin i would love to squeez in a game at the texas rangers stadium
I'M 15 N I'M THIKING OF going to japan or where der r hi spd trains!!!! Train IS my passion, I'm dying to go in Shinkansen, 'coz they r soooo cute, modern, n manly looking , all at d same time..........
Taiwan? Taiwan?!?! TAIWAN has this and California (or America) does not have this???
My U.S.of A. has really, really fallen behind. Now I think that we are fast becoming the third world nation while China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc. pass us by at 'shinkansen' speed! I think I'm going to be sick......
gr8t piece. 700T series built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Wonder how much does it cost Taiwan 2 have a HSR system like this 1?? would luv 2 c my country hav 1 of these

who built taipei 101? lol korean samsung did, dont forget korean samsung LG hynix hyundai kia hanjin fila SK etc. Taiwan is still behind Japan and Korea. Taiwanese level is equal to about Poland I believe.
I have heard so many people saying the Koreans are really ignorant and arrogant. I didn't believe so, but now I do. Yes, Samsung participated in part of the construction of Taipei 101, but you can't simply say it's built by Samsung. The building was built mainly by the Taiwanese technology, the Koeran contribution was minor. Last time I checked, Taiwan GDP(ppp) per capita was like 33000 USD/year, Trinidad and Tobago 28000, Korea and Czech Republic are both 27000 and Poland 18000
You mean the yello line on the plaform? It is a safety line which passenger should stay behind because the train rans very fast when it approachs or leaves the station.

@KCR58 it looks like under ground because its covered and the station platform is covered with lights so it looks like a subway station.
