  • original amp sounds more "crystal"

  • Can these "profiling act an an external patch/after . If i dont have a slo 100 and someone profile his on his kemper with his soldano ... any way after that i can just get his "profiling" on the website and load it into my kemper for example so i could have the sound he has ?? . if yes .. this thing gonna change the history of amplification . people will build a huge library of real amp profile and exchange between each other .

  • @MrStratocaster30 the answer is yes! people are already doing that. mind boggling, isn't it.

  • This machine will bring back good old tube amp back to the mainstream, not saying tube amp is dying.. but ever since axe fx came along many player are going to digital route and sell their tube amp.. Kemper profilling amp certainly isn't for a poor guy/hobbyist/musician with a dayjob/wannabe like me and many out there..

  • bye bye Axe FX.

  • holy shit

  • Voice like "You have selected Microsoft Sam as the computer's default voice"

  • Again, would any of you be able to tell the difference in an album situation? Or live, for that matter. I believe not.

  • The Kemper is probably more colored by mics and the mic preamp than the normal amp. Bear that in mind.

  • Kemper amp lacks so much presence!

  • @woodmaister u can increase it,i guess

  • @ryurookie Yeah hopefully, might just be that the amps proper cranked so it gets too much mids and can't collect the presence properly, like it hasn't got room to breathe ya'know?

  • @woodmaister Probably nothing you couldn't change about that after you put it into the Kemper. EQ'ing, more knobs, settings...Still an awesome concept though!

  • @BashYouLongtime Yeah I suppose. It seems really thick, but at the same time, it doesn't have the clarity the original amp did. Might've been because of how loud they were profiling the amp :(

  • @woodmaister Nobody ever said it was for everyone ;). I think it may be a hit...definitely an interesting concept. Not quite a Line 6 Vetta, or POD, or AxeFx II, but something new...mostly... Either way, I still live by a kickass tube amp! Might as well not screw around and buy the real deal! I am totally not against these types of machines though-they're incredibly conveniant for certain musicians, and aspects of touring/recording/etc., and I don't think they sound bad at all!

  • @BashYouLongtime Oh it definitely sounds good! I just end up picking out the flaws really easily haha :') I agree though, the technology they're creating is incredible and this definitely has a hell of a lot of potential!

  • @woodmaister . Go ahead, tell us how easy it is to pick out the flaws, ha ha, let's hear about them. "Potential". it doesn't have potential, it's already reached the potential. Try one out first, THEN pick out the flaws. Or, let's hear your mic'd amp recordings so we can compare. :)

  • @CrazyDiamond1968 Sure, I'll just go mic a Duel Rectifier through a Mesa 4x12 with an SM57 and C1000.

  • sounds great. That soldano must be cranked up really loud to sound that thick!

  • Again it seems like it nails the tone. Really curious about how it reacts.Maybe some vids with the same sounds and different players?

  • I think the narrator needs a PPPoPPP filter

  • the Kemper sounds just a bit "fuzzy thick" it doesn't get the clear upper mid quite right

  • It has 80% of the depht and height of the original but it's getting there since the concept is in it's early stages. But I dig it and it's great. The strenght of it however depends on the online sharing of personal or professional profiles. That simply means, every input can be shared as output, as gear DNA, so to speak. A mind boggling concept Mr Kemper! BTW, some softplugs ala foxengo can do this as well but not so sofisticated and this medical looking aparatus is PC undependent. Kudos. Peter

  • Very interesting. I´d like to hear Kemper profiling Hi-Gain amps like Engl and Mesa Boogie.

  • The attack of the modeled signal doesn't sound right. The dynamics are off as well. The basic tone is close.

  • there is something wrong in the initíal attack of the kemper, that mushy ugle character. i wonder if you can tweak that away? because it will kill palmmutes.

  • @johnosstreeter

It is possible to change the "pick"-volume without affecting anything else in your tone. ;-) You can even decrease the pick volume to a negative level, so you get "negative attack".

  • @johnosstreeter agree. but mind you...this concept is that promising that it'll change a lot!

  • @perothing what does that mean?

  • @johnosstreeter it means that prototypes can be ripened and that developers can learn from usefull comments like yours. it means also that this concept could change the way we look at digitising amps. I've never thougt that such analogs could be digitised that good.

  • @perothing i cant worry about something that is not here yet.

  • Dear Mr Kemper,

let me propose something to you. For further attraction of metal fans, how about an all black version with red lighting?

    Lieber Herr Kemper,

lassen Sie mich etwas vorschlagen. Um anziehender auf Metal-Fans zu wirken, wie wäre es mit einer komplett schwarzen Version mit roter Beleuchtung?

    Keep up the good work!

  • @ez45 Totally agree! That would make me want to buy one even more:)

Genial!

  • I think the Soldano still sounds a bit better, but absolutely revolutionary to the amp modeling world. I can't wait to pick one up for myself

  • @CarringtonSweet . Interesting. To my ears sometimes the Profile sounds better and sometimes the real Soldano sounds better, depending on what Peter Fischer's fingers are doing...which proves that the Kemper profile has all the dynamics, harmonics and feel of the real Soldano SLO100...it's almost miraculous.

  • Kemper For NOBEL Price ,

  • Take a bow, Mr Kemper, you deserve it!
