With all due respect for Connie , she didn't even have a good Italian accent . The arrangement was good and it was different and the style too . This has the ORIGINAL Italian traditional type of arrangement She was good but she wasn't "better". Especially technically . Connie did nice phrasing in it and a nice version overall  , but she certainly wasn't better . You are just used to hear that version because is part of the Italian American heritage .

@87redsilver Technically, Bocelli is far inferior to opera songers, and the opera world considers him nothing more than a pop singer. As for Connie, she is a pop singer andd she contends to be nothing more, and a great pop singer at that.

@Shrinksjp Between defined genres there are always crossovers which not all people usually accept because they aren't ready for it . Andrea can do both .The opera world is vast and not all opera world dislike him or he wouldn't be all . Bocelli continues to work in complete operas-recently he sang Rossini directed by Placido Domingo "Inferior to opera singers" means nothing , he is far better than a lot of them -technically ! I didn't say better than all .
