@the5445, sound, you have to have an ear for it, and yes it is running a tad lean lean = too much air in the air/fuel mixture... he could add a little fuel to the mixture and tweek it abit, should make it sound alot more aggressive and add to initial gain when punching it.

Well if you've got 4bbl heads and having a 2bbl carb chances are you do, then you'll need to change the heads to 4bbl heads, because if you use a 4bbl with 2bbl heads then you'll not be able to get on it hard because the heads can't take the extra gas, it'll run and have good power and stuff like that but you can't just stomp it when you want cause the heads can't take the exrta fuel and it'll bog and pretty much choke out.

Yes it is too, if you don't believe me look it up, also come up here I'll show you on my truck, it has 2bbl heads with a 4bbl and it chokes it out if you get on it to quickly, the heads can't take all the fuel. Believe me, I know whay I'm talking about I'm a Mechanic. Soon to be Certifed as well....So I know what I'm talking about!

Well right now at my house I've got a '70 chevy truck, it has a holley on it and has 399 heads which are older 350/307 2bbl heads, don't believe me look them up, since those are on there it chokes it out if you get on it too quickly. Come up here and I'll show you, or just ask any "Real" Mechanic if using a 4bbl will choke out 2bbl heads cause they can't take the flow of fuel from a 4bbl. If they're a real mechanic who has worked on stuff for years, they'll tell you I'm right.

Well good for you, I've done re-tuned the carb and its better then it ws but you can't tune it low enough so these heads can take the flow, the easiest thing to do is change the heads and thats what I'm going to do once I find good set to go on it. Als for your 427, you do realise that your 427 has the heads for it because all 427s had either a 4bbl or three 2bbls. So its easy for the heads to take the flow of your 750. If you don't believe the "super dooper mechanic" Then look it up.
