You're lucky you still have this game. When i was a kid, i didnt think it would be such a collectable now. So i sorta just tossed it. I loved the game though. I regret throwing it away.
Well there's differences level wise. There's some levels in the arcade game that aren't in the NES verison. Also the NES verison is quite easyer, especially barrel levels.

This's NES Donkey Kong not Arcade verison and yes the world record is 2,682,300 due to barrel glitches you can get quite alot of points

They aren't "glitches".They are intentionally programed into the game.
