Sorry, but this isn't the first wooden rollercoaster in China. I rode one in Guangzhou about 20 years ago. Looked like it was built in the 60s, but so did everything else in China back then.
it's not an asian rollercoaster. it's built by "the gravity group": an american rollercoaster manufacturer. (example; the voyage at holiday world was also built by the gravity group)
the person who posted about communism is brainwashed. People are treated so badly that they build great amusement parks and roller coasters an the fastest trains in the world for the sole purpose of torture. Those 2 billion plus inhabitants must be living a real aweful life. Don't be a moron.
That thing was still under construction. Was that a dead end at the conclusion? I have never "ridden" a coaster while it was still being built. Thanks for the video. Loved it.
Millienium flyers would fit this coaster much better instead of these. But sadly not everyone appreciate it and same goes the other way =) Not the best Gravity group has done but it has its good parts. Just do not like they do have a hill with chain in the midride at once place. All judged by the video and I know I've got to go there and get a real feel for it =)
First off, it's made of the same wood as any other wood coaster. Bamboo is brittle.
Second, even if it was made of bamboo, Gravity Group would engineer it to the highest quality possible. It's what they do.
But finally and most importantly, the Chinese might be responsible for a lot of manufacturing... but that doesn't mean they aren't still infinitely more skilled at it than you, you racist Neanderthal.
@KevinCube Whatever.I've seen new parks that are bare of trees then I go back 15 years later, the trees have grown so tall and the parks look much nicer.I lived in Southern Calif for a few years.I always liked Knotts Berry Farm much more than Disneyland.KBF had more trees for shade as its so damn sunny in Calif all the time.
@HattieLovesCattie Yeah, and it's a new coaster in a new park area... so it's not finished when this vid is taken. And bringing communism into it is dumbass on a whole other level.

why does modern wooden coasters make so much noise in airtime?

@Creapiano the modern coasters have brakes at the top of many airtime hills so what you hear are actually the brakes when the train travels over them.
beatle11 1 year ago
@beatle11 actually I was talking about the sound also known as 'intamin fart' noise not the trim breaks at the hills

Very well built. They learned from woodcoaster mistakes for sure. The bents are alot closer Than the used to be standerd 10ft. I wider running steel helps keep from the track getting bumps. And if they stay on the matience that ride will be around 40 plus years easy
mccgunner 2 years ago
mccgunner - the closer bents are the scurge of modern wood coasters, unless built on a continuous concrete raft, which then doesn't allow any damping, thus the vibrations from the overly solid structure that develop over time, cause nasty vertical kicks anyway. There's a lot to learn from Fred Church's 1920s track, laminated from square section as opposed to boards, would take forces in all directions better than standard lamination. Modern woodies become rib and neck crushers in no time. :(

Having said that - profile wise, this looks nicer than the tame offerings of a prolific contemporary (not as 'great' as they proclaim - more dull than anything else!). Atleast you boys at GG know how to throw Traver style twists together, with some funky vertical pops thrown in out of the blue. Reminds me of some of Ron Toomer's freaky shapes, taking a bit of a calculated risk, rather than just over calculated (one thinks back to your meager contmporary)!
