The lesson is clear...to all of you; my brethren..the academicians- I am absolutely sure that Chief Akintola and Fela would have gotten along just fine. What sense does book sense without common sense? To quote The Late Chief Hubert Ogunde, "Ogbon tiwon gbo to gbe won dele ola, shoun na lotun pada wa dale won se yin o, awon to tin so ga lojo toti pe, won tun wa deni ari fowo bisehin o" ye ye yeo, Yoruba ronu o. "Yoruba ro ro ro bi ina ale, Yoruba ro ro bi omi okun, Yoruba Baba ni baba nse." RIP
What an enlightening piece of history, though I disagree with one thing. I think education is king but employment must be available once students graduates. But the Igbos had dominated the whole government parastatals. You just have to look around you which is highly evident during Obasanjo's last regime that he (OBJ) gave the Igbos the opportunity to dominate the government. Yet the Igbos cries about being Marginalisation. The only tribe marginalised since independence is actually the YORUBAS!
